The ring assembly fl oats on chromium ball bearings for smooth any-direction

Offi cial breakaway goal withstands shock loads due to a player slam dunking and/or hanging

Portable Basketball Systems
Competition styling, an offi cial-sized glass backboard and
breakaway goal make Draper Portable Backstops an affordable choice for facilities looking for premium competition
court and side court systems. Low-maintenance extension
spring technology design makes one-person setup and height
adjustment easy and fast. Model 503018 (at right) has 66˝ of
safe play area, and model 503019 has 96˝. Each has a full size
42˝ x 72˝, ½˝ tempered glass backboard and breakaway goal.
Model 503019 also features a rear anchor kit and added structural members, ballast and horizontal beam padding to allow
high school or college competition play.

Height Adjusters
Direct Mount 8´–10´ Height Adjusters
For Backboards
For rectangular or fan-shaped backboards and goals, our height
adjuster features a direct goal attachment and is designed to
mount to virtually any style of backstop. All Draper backboards have a limited lifetime warranty when used with our
height adjuster. Height adjuster includes a self-adhesive height
scale that is graduated in 1˝ increments and labeled at 6˝ intervals. Height adjuster frame assembly is jig welded and factory
assembled to ensure precise alignment and smooth operation.
Motorized Height Adjuster: The electric linear actua-
tor provides smooth reversible motion for loads up to 600 lbs.
Linear actuator includes cam style limit switches that will allow 24˝ of travel. The Motorized Height Adjuster’s linear
actuator assembly is bolted in place and easily removed for conversion to manual operation.

Manual Height Adjuster: Is operated with a remov-
able awning-style crank handle and actuated via a ¾˝–6 Acme
threaded rod. Its actuator rod assembly is bolted in place and
easily removed for conversion to electric operation.

503085 Motorized Winch
A one-horsepower motorized winch operates our EZ Fold
basketball backstops. Our winch delivers 1000 lbs. of vertical
lifting and 1500 lbs. of horizontal line pull. Designed to hold the
backstop at any position when raising or lowering the backstop
with the turn of a key. The cable drum is helically grooved for
¼˝, 7 x 19 aircraft cable. The grooves provide proper spooling
of the cable and ensure excellent repeatability of stop positions.
The drum is equipped with a pressure roller with torsion spring
tensioning. It ensures that the cable tracks in the grooves even
under slack cable conditions. The winch has a direct drive, double
worm reduction system. No oil lubrication is required. Automatic
limit switches control the distance of travel in either direction.
Entire winch assembly is UL listed. A 3-position momentary key
switch and cover plate is supplied with each motorized winch.
Five-year warranty.
503023 EZ Power—
Optional Wireless Remote Control
Eliminate complicated, expensive wiring, wall boxes and individual key switches with a radio control system. The EZ Power
portable hand held transmitter is capable of operating up to 27 in-
dividual one horsepower electric motor winches. Power supply for
the hand held transmitter is a standard 9-volt battery.
Operating range is at least 125´. Requires item 503020, a 9-station
transmitter, or 503021, a 27-station transmitter.

For ceiling height under 26´, the EZ Fold
backstop may be operated by a manual
winch with a removable handle. The winch
features double worm-gear reduction with a
36:1 ratio and composite gears to make the
unit virtually maintenance free. The cable drum is helical grooved
for ¼˝, 7 x 19 aircraft cable to provide proper spooling. Drum is
equipped with a pressure roller with torsion spring tensioning to
insure cable tracks in grooves even under slack conditions. Gears
and cable drum are enclosed by integral cover. Operated with standard removable handle or optional A0490 Portable Operator.
A0490 Portable Operator
A compact, heavy-duty, reversible electric operator for use with
manual winch 503086. Complete with an 18˝ extension adaptor. Makes the operation of manual winch backstops a quick,
easy task. Optionally available with 503048 50´ Power Cord and
503047 Portable Storage Case.
503029 Posilok
Safety belts are recommended on all backstops, especially those
suspended over bleachers or playing areas. The Posilok Safet y
Belt is self-checking, automatically resets and is virtually fail-safe.
The maximum weight of a suspended load is 1000 lbs. The Posi-
lok Safety Belt checks the speed of the rotating reel six times
per revolution and will instantly lock if the speed exceeds the trip
point of 1½´ per second. Belt includes a maximum extension indicator and breakaway loop to indicate if the Posilok Safety Belt
has been tripped. The Posilok Safety Belt has been cycle tested
to 30 years of typical gymnasium usage with no signifi cant wear
or deterioration of the unit.

polyurethane foam bonded to a
⁷⁄₁₆˝ thick waferboard which is then
fully wrapped in a vinyl-coated
polyester covering, enhanced by a
leather-like emboss pattern. Coverings come in a variety of colors.

All standard Wa l l Pa d s include a 1˝ lip on the top and bottom
for easy installation over fi nished or unfi nished walls. Or specify one of the following:
Mounting options available—
• “Z”–Clips at the top and bottom for
wall mounting pads. Edges of the pad
are fl ush with the wood backer. Eliminates 1˝ lip.
• “Z”–Clip at top and 1˝ nailing strip at
the bottom.
• Channel System: channel attaches to wall clips; trims out top
and bottom lip; remove single pads as needed for repair.

Class A Flame Retardant Wall Pads
Draper’s fl ame retardant wall pads have been independently tested as a singular unit and have been found to meet the
requirements of 2003 IBC Section 803.2.1, when tested in
accordance with NFPA 286, and given a “Class A” rating
in accordance with ASTM-E84 and NFPA 255 test procedures. Test Results: Flame Spread Index = 20; Smoke
Developed Index = 350. Draper uses state of the art fl ame
resistant polychloroprene latex, open cell foam cushioning
material, rigid OSB backing and vinyl-coated polyester covering enhanced by a leather-like emboss pattern. Coverings
come in a full range of colors.
Wall Padding Vinyl Selections
General: Solid vinyl-coated polyester fabric with an embossed pattern.
Weight: Average 14 oz. per square yard.
Strength: 350 lbs. per sq. inch break strength and 65 lbs. tear
resistance.
Resistance to Rot and Mildew: Excellent.
Ultraviolet Resistance: Excellent.
Flammability: Rated as self extinguishing in
accordance with California State Fire Code (f–230).
Printed color may vary from actual vinyl. Color samples available

Patriot Motorized Flag
Draper’s newest gym equipment product makes a dramatic presentation of
the United States fl ag in any gymnasium. “Old Glory” appears at the touch
of a switch or wireless transmitter. Standard product includes a sewn, nylon
fl ag. Options include state fl ags or school banners, provided by customer.
The Patriot can display a fl ag either vertically or
horizontally. Flag measures 12´ x 18´ with both mount-
ings. The vertical or banner fl ag is housed in a 12´
case, and the horizontal fl ag is housed in a 20´ case.

Power Volleyball System
PVS-01 Power Volleyball System is a one-time invest-
ment that nets you all the top quality demanded by today’s
top level volleyball programs. The all-aluminum PVS-01
fl oor-sleeve type system is a breakthrough in volleyball

Each post is manufactured with high-strength 3½˝ O.D.
aluminum. Height adjustment from 6´1˝ to 8´4˝ in one inch

Competition Volleyball System
CVS-01 Competition Volleyball System incorporates all of
the top quality features of our PVS-01 with additional versatility.
The all-aluminum CVS-01 fl oor-sleeve type system adjusts to all
competition for tennis, badminton and volleyball or anywhere in
between. No need to change uprights —just move the net into
position, and the gym is equipped for a different sport.

Multi-Sport Practice Cages
Draper has a solution to year–around practice: Move indoors with our Pr actice Cage. Our cage has a simple
design but various uses: Step inside and practice swinging
at baseballs, softballs, golf balls and tennis balls; practice
kicking footballs and soccer balls.
Practical in application and design, the unit is motor
operated. A turn of the key will raise or lower the cage suspended from a rotating drive pipe. Four sides and the top
of the cage are fi tted with white knotless nylon mesh golf
netting (opening is ¾˝ square). Two corners of the cage are
sewn together, and two are secured using zippers, allowing
one long sidewall to be raised if activity necessitates. Standard cage size is 10´ high x 12´ wide x 70´ long. Custom sizes
available.

The frame mounts securely to the wall. The guard’s inside
dimensions are 20˝ x 20˝ square. The clearance between the
wall and the front of the frame measures 4˝. A 1˝ space lets
the clock cord pass under the frame. For quick and easy access to the clock, the clock protector is double hinged on
one side, with a wingnut fastener assembly on the other. No
tools are needed to open or close the guard.

Portable Soccer Goals
Draper’s lightweight Portable Soccer Goals have a full
4˝ square aluminum post and crossbar design. A unique corner attachment system allows for ease of installation and the elimination
of all protruding hardware on the front and sides of goal. Features a
white powder coated fi nish and full ¾˝ edge radius for player safety.
Backstays are 1⅝˝ galvanized steel tube and provide a 4´ top depth.
Net clips hold the net securely to the face of the goal. Order nets
with 4´ top depth separately.
All Draper Portable Soccer Goals come standard with built-in
wheel kits for easy transport and ground anchor kits for player safety (see page 21).

505009—Make Draper’s in-ground goals removable for multi-
purpose fi elds by adding ground sleeves. Aluminum extrusions are
24˝ deep and adjustable at installation to fi t any 4˝ square post. Steel
caps keep out dirt and debris. Requires 30˝ deep x 8˝ minimum di-
ameter ground excavation. Order two per goal; four per fi eld.
Woven Knotless Soccer Nets
Although designed specifi cally for Draper soccer goals, these nets
can be used on any goal with a 4´ top depth or with a zero top
depth. Nets are constructed of 3 mm polypropylene knotless netting
with 4˝ square mesh. Nets are non-abrasive and follow the trend to-
ward reduced mesh size for superior durability and safety. Each pair
of nets comes with a mesh carry bag for easy transport or storage.

502106 Power Tennis System
Draper’s Pow er Tennis System is your best choice for exterior wind posts. Power
Tennis System has an all aluminum crank that will never rust. Winch handle is
removable. Posts are constructed with 3½˝ O.D., 11 gauge, galvanized tube that is
fi nished with electrostatically applied black enamel. Posts feature an aluminum cap
with an aluminum pulley to permit cable to feed over the post.
502108 Championship Tennis System
Draper offers the most durable, attractive and user-friendly tennis post available.
These high-end 3˝ square x 60˝ posts include an internal net tensioner with ample
cable take-up capacity and a winding mechanism designed for heavy loads without
fear of binding. Winding mechanism works with a ½˝ socket. Posts fi nished with
electrostatically applied black enamel and feature lacing rod.
Draper’s Tennis Systems are supplied with 502100 heavy-duty net made with 3.0 mm
hollow braid polyethylene twine, 36 oz. single layer vinyl head band sewn with 4 rows
of lock stitch. Bottom and side tapes are extra wide, abrasion resistant 18 oz. vinyl with
brass grommets. All vinyl bands are treated with UV and mildew inhibitors. Net has ½˝
fi berglass end dowels and 5/32˝ x 46´ vinyl coated galvanized aircraft top cable.
Tennis Systems also provided standard with a 502111 polyester center strap and
502112 ground anchor. Post can be used indoors or outside and can be direct buried
or used with optional ground sleeves.

Backlash-free worm gear top rope tensioner provides superior net tension for ball

butyl bladder and reinforced, recessed rope attachment and braided nylon rope. Overall length of post is 11´6˝ to allow for 18˝ to be set in concrete footing or optional ground

Draper Tip and Roll Bleachers are designed for outdoor or
indoor use and are ideal for locations where only temporary seating
is required. Welded frame is constructed with aluminum angles
and planking is 2˝ x 10˝ extruded 6063-T6 aluminum. Each unit
