The Dräger DrugCheck® 3000 is a compact and quick
drug test based on oral fluid specimens for easy and
unambiguous drug detection on the spot. Using the
disposable kit, you test people for cocaine, opiates,
amphetamine, methamphetamine, and cannabis
simultaneously.
This short guide will take you through each step of performing
the test.

The test kit (fig. A) consists of a swab for obtaining an oral fluid
specimen and a test cassette for the analysis. The test result is
shown on the test strip (fig. B).
Remove the swab from the test cassette and give it to the test person.

Instruct the test person to move the swab around in their mouth,
underneath the tongue and in the cheek pouches for approx.
15 seconds to gather oral fluid. The person must not suck or chew
on the swab!

Insert the swab back into the test cassette. Press it hard into the
funnel-shaped test opening as far as it will go, in order to break the
vial containing the buffer liquid inside the test cassette. There must
not be a gap between the swab and the test cassette.

Shake the test kit until the red indication ring has lost its color. This
process may take approx. 15 – 30 seconds. Small amounts of color
left on the ring do not influence the measurement.

Place the test kit on a level surface or hold it upright in your hand.
Depending on the preferred detection threshold for THC, it is
necessary to select one measurement option and obey the respective
waiting period (pre-incubation).

information on the thresholds in ng/ml for all substances.

After the waiting period, break the safety tab and peel it off downwards
completely (fig. 1). Then press the swab in an upright position into
the test kit as far as it will go (fig. 2). The control and test lines will
appear after approx. 2 to 3 minutes. After appearing the results can be
read. If no red line appears after 5 minutes this indicates a positive
test result. The test results must be evaluated within 10 minutes. If
the control lines do not appear within this period the test is invalid.
