Miniature Power Supplies
DESCRIPTION
The DPA MPS series is designed to work as battery power supplies
for the entire range of DPA Miniature Microphones. Furthermore, the
MPS6001 and MPS6010 will work as 48 V phantom power adapters.
The MPS6001 delivers 5 Volts to the microphone voltage supply while
the 2-channel power supplies deliver 9 Volts.
Microphone connection
Tighten the MicroDot firmly to the power supply. The connector is
properly tightened and secure when the cable can no longer be rotated.
Use the MicroDot Tightening Tool included.
Battery lifetime
The power consumption of a DPA miniature microphone is approx.
0.7mA. Please note that the capacity of batteries can vary with supplier.
MPS6001: Minimum 24 hours (with alkaline batteries)
When supplied with phantom power, the battery will be bypassed.
Power will be consumed as long as the power supply is connected to
an XLR plug. The MPS6001 features a mechanical on/off switch inside
the XLR housing, thus saving battery power when not connected to an
XLR plug.

the MPS6010 with phantom
power, the battery will be bypassed.
Changing the battery
MPS6001:
Unscrew the cap and place a 1.5V type (LR03) AAA battery with
the positive voltage tip at the MicroDot end.
MPS6010, MPS6020, MPS6030, and MPS6040:
Open the lid at the back of the power supply and attach a 9 V
