Dowco Guardian Snowmobile Universal Fit User Manual

Thank you for purchasing a DOWCO, Inc. Universal Snowmobile cover. We are pleased that you have selected one of the many fine quality products that we produce for recreational vehicles.
Your snowmobile cover has been designed and manufactured of the highest quality materials available for this recreational application. We utilize a superior weave, longer lasting 10 oz. breathable canvas. The use of quick-release buckles and indestructible shock cord around the bottom makes your cover completely secure and trailerable. Another unique feature is the tie down system with added straps located at the top of the cover, which minimizes the amount of air trapped under the cover while trailering.
As is the case with all fabric products, care should be
taken to keep sharp objects, hot items or solvents from coming in contact with the material

Installation
1. Position the cover over the handlebar area with the front
of the cover facing the hood of the snowmobile. The cover has a tag sewn in the front of the cover.
2. Pull the cover down over the handlebars.
3. At the front of the snowmobile, pull cover over the nose
area.
4. At the rear of the snowmobile, pull cover completely
over the seat and rear bumper.
5. Assemble straps with hooks to buckles (see figure #1).
The four short straps are attached to buckles located at the bottom of the cover. The two long straps are attached to the buckles located on the top of the cover. Make sure all straps are secured tightly. If any portion of the cover is left loose while trailering, damage may occur and the longevity of the cover will decrease. The hooks will attach easily to the track suspension. Do not overtighten straps. To release the straps, gently lift up on the lip of the buckle and disconnect hook.
6. There is an additional web loop located at the nose. You
may find it necessary to secure this area so the front is tighter. To do this you may tie a piece of rope from one ski to the other, running the rope through the loop.
Care & Cleaning
To clean cover, soak area that is dirty and gently scrub with a medium stiff brush, then rinse. Allow cover to air dry. Do Not machine dry.
Soap, heat, salt and prolonged exposure to the sun will damage the cover by causing a breakdown of dyes and also reduce the protective coating used to give it water and mildew resistance.
For summer storage, wash cover thoroughly inside and out to remove dirt and road salt. Air dry, then place cover back on snowmobile. Do Not store cover and snowmobile in direct sunlight.
