Activate/Deactivate Phone Function

Use Comm. Manager to turn off phone functionsAfter the phone function is
deactivated, you will still be able to operate other applications.

Today Home Screen

Today screen display:
Status indicator, time and date, upcoming appoint­ments, personal information, pending tasks, SMS,
missed calls, and multimedia centre. You can click
on the icons to launch applications or settings. The
icons located on the status bar include: roaming,
available GPRS service, time, missed calls, new
messages, reception status, and GPRS connection.

Install SIM Card and Battery

Please follow the below procedures to install USIM/SIM card and battery:

1. Slide down and remove
the battery cover

Install Micro-SD Memory Card

You can store information such as pictures, music, documents, and program data
on the Micro-SD card.Before using the Micro-SD memory card, you will need to
insert it into the slot on the phone.
Please follow the below instructions to install the Micro-SD card:

Insert the MicroSD memory card

2. Remove the batter 3. Insert SIM card

Power On/Off

When you press the power button on the phone quickly, the handset will enter standby
mode and turnoff the display. To turnoff the power, please follow the below procedures. For
even more user tips, please refer to section 1.7 of user manual, Standby and Power On/Off.

Power on: when powered off, press and hold Power button for two seconds

and the phone will turn on.

Power off: press and hold the Power button until the popup message, then

select Yes to turnoff the phone.

Install ActiveSync and Establish Sync Connection

You must install Microsoft ActiveSync® 4.2 and Microsoft Office Outlook® included on
the P800w Beginner’s CD on the PC, to perform sync of personal information and
files.

Please follow the below procedures
to install ActiveSync:

1. Insert the included CD into the
optical drive on the PC

2. Please follow the onscreen
instructions to install:

l Microsoft ActiveSync
l Microsoft Office Outlook

3. After installation is complete,
please connect the USB cable to
the handset and computer

4. Please follow the ActiveSync
configuration wizard to establish
the sync connection

Registering You Phone

The Dopod website will periodically provide the latest user information and
customer service for your phone. Please register your phone with us to gain
members services provided by the website “Members Only” area. You can follow
the below steps to register your phone:

1. Open the Internet browser and connect to Dopod website:

2. Click on Members Only from the home page

3. Select the Join Membership link on the left side of the screen. Then click on

I Agree at the bottom of the page.

4. Please select I have already purchased the product . Then press the OK button.

5 Enter the hardware serial number (please refer to the S/N on back of the phone),

purchaser name, and date of birth. Then press the OK button.
