Features & Benefits

The VehicleBase™ is a compact, secure battery charger and
holder for the Dolphin® 7200 computer. It holds Dolphin se­curely and releases it easily and quickly using one hand. In
addition, VehicleBase recharges the Dolphin battery continu­ously without overcharging.

Using standard external Wireless Wide Area Network mo­dems, VehicleBase can be used to transmit mission critical
data between a Dolphin and a central computer. Data can also
be transmitted via popular network types such as GSM,
Mobitex™, DataTAC™, CDPD, or wireless dial-up.

VehicleBase communicates with Dolphin via “Infrared Commu­nications Port”. Inputs and Outputs serial data stream via
standard 9-pin RS232 port.

The VehicleBase is powered by a cigarette lighter adapter for
12 Volts automotive systems and portable applications or by
direct connection through a power conditioning module for 12
and 24 Volts automotive systems.

VehicleBase installs easily with four screws to the dashboard,
floor, cab wall or pedestal 4-way. An adjustable mounting
bracket reduces vibration and expands driver viewing options.
VehicleBase meets J1455 standard for vibration tolerance.
