Calc Clean:
Dirty or brown water may be emitted from the soleplate. This may happen as a result of using hard or tap water which allows a production of scale inside the water tank.
The unit can be cleaned in the following way:
1. Unplug the unit, fill the water tank with distilled water. Close the inlet cover. Hold the water tank with both hands and shake well.
2. Open the water tank inlet cover and pour the water away.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 a few times to clean well.
4. On the iron, turn the temperature control knob to “MIN”, turn the steam control knob to “MAX”. While holding the iron with the soleplate pointing away from you plug the iron in and press the steam button down immediately. This will allow the water pumped to go through the steam chamber and clean it well.
5. Clean the soleplate with a soft cloth after all the dirty water has come out.
Cleaning and storage:
1. Unplug the unit and allow it to cool down completely.
2. Clean the soleplate with damp soft towel.
3. Periodically fill the tank with water, shake and pour the water away.
4. Store the iron in a cool dry place beyond the reach of children
