Qt Control/D isplay

Dometic Qt Control/Display is used with Dometic auxiliary truck air

conditioners. It is a compact sur face mount unit, allowing easy incorporation

into the truck’s interior. A large, easy-to-read LED digital display shows

temperature, setpoint, and fault codes. Four buttons allow easy control of mode,

fan speed, and temperature. The control has a 12V signal that indicates a start

requirement for generators (when the generator has this function), and it is CAN-

bus capable. There is a program setting for battery-based systems that limits

upper and lower temperature settings. The Qt can control a diesel-fired heater

and two-stage electric heat elements.

Leece/Neville alternators are high-capacity for rapid and full recharging of

batteries.

Inverters change DC current into AC current. Dometic has partnered

with HDM, an experienced inverter manufacturer, to provide a series of inverters

that will allow a Dometic system to star t and run ef ficiently. Dometic/HDM inver ters

are available as an inverter only or an inverter/charger with a shorepower pass-

through. The efficiency of this inver ter approaches 90% and will not degrade as it

powers the system over time.

Battery boxes by Dometic provide a dry and secure place for the batteries

providing power to Dometic HVAC Systems. Ruggedly constructed of aluminum,

Dometic battery boxes are attached with an extremely strong clamping device and

are installed in minutes. They are available empty, or loaded and assembled with

Group 31 AGM batteries, inverter, circuit breaker, holddowns and all connecting

cables. Surfaces made from 1/4" and 1/8" 5052-H32 aluminum; clamps and

channels made from 6061-T6 aluminum; steel angle iron made from 1/4" steel;

hardware is metric equivalent of Grade 8.

Dometic specifies and recommends Group 31 batteries from the

following manufacturers. Use only batteries with 3/8” posts.

The Battery Separator prevents backflow of current between two banks.

There will be no voltage drop across the separator.

The Battery-Fuel Gauge indicates the state of the battery system. The toggle

allows one to monitor: a) voltage, b) current, c) capacit y remaining, and d) hours

remaining.

Discharge and Return Air Grilles are available in different sizes for a variety

of applications. All grilles are black and compliment truck interiors. They are easy

to install, with mounting frames and snap-on covers. Each system installation

requires at least one discharge grilled and one return air grille. The grilles connect

to the system with flexible ducting. Please refer to the Auxiliary Remote (L-

2317) and Self-Contained (L-2327) HVAC Systems spec sheets for a char t of

recommended duct and minimum grille sizes for various system capacities. Price

sheets list available sizes.
