Dart’s compact car rewrite isn’t just skin deep. It goes straight to where drivers want it most — the powertrain. All three of Dart’s available state-of-the-art, four-cylinder engines have been tuned

to deliver excellent horsepower and torque ratings while still yielding impressive fuel efficiency. Here’s the breakdown: 2.0L DOHC 16-VALVE TIGERSHARKTM WITH VARIABLE VALVE TIMING (VVT).

Here’s to 160 horses and 148 lb-ft of torque working together to bring impressive low- and mid-range torque for greater drivability and overall fuel efficiency. 1.4L SOHC 16-VALVE INTERCOOLED

TURBO WITH MULTIAIR.® This powerplant churns out 160 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque from 2500–4000 rpm. The 114 horsepower-per-liter gives this MultiAir turbo the ultimate combination of

power and fuel efficiency. When equipped on Aero models, you can cruise confidently with up to 41 mpg* hwy. 2.4L SOHC 16-VALVE TIGERSHARK WITH MULTIAIR II. This powerhouse unites Chrysler Group

LLC design with enhanced MultiAir technology from FIAT.® The outcome is 184 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque. Dart’s six-speed transmission lineup kicks in just as much capability as its engines.

It starts with a highly advanced standard close-ratio manual. Or choose an available PowerTech automatic that can be mated to the 2.0-liter or 2.4-liter engines, or opt for an advanced dual-dry

clutch transmission (DDCT) on the 1.4-liter turbo. The DDCT eliminates the need for hydraulics for a 10 percent improvement in fuel efficiency. Even Dart’s grille is all-in when it comes to supporting

overall power. An available Active Grille Shutter system includes a series of horizontal slats housed behind the lower fascia opening. When cooling is least needed, the slats automatically close airflow

through the lower intake and redirect it around the front of the vehicle for a 10 percent reduction in drag and better aero-performance.

Wipers activate when raindrops are detected (available), and a smart
brake system helps dry the brake rotors on wet roads. Standard.

This system is designed to assist drivers in maintaining control of their
vehicle during extreme steering maneuvers. ESC senses when a
vehicle is starting to spin (oversteer) or plow (understeer), and
attempts to correct the vehicle’s course by automatically controlling
the throttle and applying the brakes at individual wheels.

This available system automatically switches headlamps from high to low
beam and back again when oncoming headlamps, forward-lighting
elements or taillamps from the vehicle ahead of yours are sensed.
Nighttimedriving is also assisted by providing the maximum amount of
light possible for any driving scenario.
