FOMA Terminal

Introduction

N-03D supports W-CDMA and GSM/GPRS systems.

the right and left of the standby screen. MyFACE information is updated regularly,
ensuring that you always get the latest information. You can download your favorite
MyFACE content easily from sites and add, sort or delete it.

This function allows you to paste shortcuts at the bottom of the standby screen. Pasting
shortcuts to frequently used functions and content enables easier access.

Waterproof/Dustproof Function

Introduction

N-03D is waterproof to IPX5*1 and IPX7*2 standards, and dustproof to IP5X*3 standard if the
external connector terminal cap is closed as well as the back cover is securely attached.

*1 :

IPX5 means that the N-03D continues to function as a phone after being sprayed from all directions with 12.5 liters
of water per minute from a 6.3 mm diameter nozzle for at least 3 minutes, from a distance of approx. 3 meters.

*2 :

IPX7 means that the N-03D retains phone functionality after slowly immersing in still, room-temperature
tap water to a depth of 1 meter and leaving it there for 30 minutes before bringing it out of the water.

IP5X means the level of protection. IP5X means that N-03D continues to function as a phone and to maintain
security after being left in a device containing dust (diameter: 75

To maintain waterproof/dustproof function, replacement of parts is required once every 2 years
regardless of whether the FOMA terminal appears normal or abnormal. DOCOMO replaces the parts
as a chargeable service. Bring the FOMA terminal to a repair counter specified by DOCOMO.

cover open, the liquid may get inside the FOMA terminal causing electric shock or malfunction. Stop using the

Charging

For the charging time and continuous talk time, refer to "Main specifications"

i-concier helps you in your daily life using a character that acts just like a butler (concierge). The service keeps
your data (living area, memos, schedules, ToruCa, Phonebook, etc.), and information is delivered timely to

Information related to the memos, schedules, and ToDo lists in your FOMA terminal is delivered, schedule

Battery life is very short

● Is the FOMA terminal left outside the service area for a long time?

In a place outside the service area, the terminal searches the radio waves for
communication and the battery is consumed more quickly.

● The available operating time of the battery pack depends on the conditions of

usage and degraded degree of battery pack.

The battery pack is consumable. The operation time for battery packs steadily decreases
with each charge. When the operating time has become extremely short even though
the battery pack has been fully recharged, please purchase a new battery pack.

Radio Frequency (RF) Signals

THIS MODEL PHONE MEETS THE U.S. GOVERNMENT'S REQUIREMENTS FOR EXPOSURE TO RADIO WAVES.
Your wireless phone contains a radio transmitter and receiver. Your phone is designed and manufactured
not to exceed the emission limits for exposure to radio frequency (RF) energy set by the Federal
Communications Commission of the U.S. Government. These limits are part of comprehensive guidelines
and establish permitted levels of RF energy for the general population. The guidelines are based on
standards that were developed by independent scientific organizations through periodic and thorough
evaluation of scientific studies.
The exposure standard for wireless mobile phones employs a unit of measurement known as the Specific
Absorption Rate (SAR). The SAR limit set by the FCC is 1.6 W/kg.* Tests for SAR are conducted using standard
operating positions accepted by the FCC with the phone transmitting at its highest certified power level in
all tested frequency bands. Although the SAR is determined at the highest certified power level, the actual
SAR level of the phone while operating can be well below the maximum value. This is because the phone is
designed to operate at multiple power levels so as to use only the power required to reach the network. In
general, the closer you are to a wireless base station antenna, the lower the output.
Before a phone model is available for sale to the public, it must be tested and certified to the FCC that it
does not exceed the limit established by the U.S. government-adopted requirement for safe exposure. The
tests are performed on position and locations (for example, at the ear and worn on the body) as required
