bruksanvisning hjälper dig vid installation och inkoppling. En riktig
installation är viktig om du vill få ut bästa möjliga ljud ur dina högtalare.
Använd om möjligt högtalarkablar av hög klass, min 1.5 mm

, ex-
empelvis DLS SC 2x 1,5.

KONTROLL AV HÖGTALARNAS FASNING
Du kan kontrollera högtalarnas fasning (polaritet) med hjälp av
ett vanligt 1,5 volts ficklampsbatteri.
Anslut en kabel från batteriets plus-pol till högtalarens d:o och
en kabel från batteriets minus-pol till högtalarens minus.
Om du kopplat högtalarna rätt skall konen nu röra sig åt
samma håll (normalt utåt) på både höger och vänster kanal.
Denna kontroll gör du på kablarna som ansluts till högtalarutgångarna på bilstereon eller slutsteget.
MONTERING:
Montera högtalaren i dörrsidan eller instrumentbrädan i bilens
originaluttag. Om det finns möjlighet så förstärk med en baffel av
MDF-board eller liknande. En montering högt upp på dörrsidan
ger oftast den bästa ljudåtergivningen. Ett alternativ är montering i
så kallad kickpanel vid bilens torpedväggar med högtalarna riktade snett uppåt / framåt.
Diskanterna monteras så nära bas/mellanregisterelementen som
möjligt, alternativt på instrumentbrädan. Finns färdiga uttag så använd dessa även om det kan kräva lite jobb för anpassning.
Med bipackade tillbehör kan diskanten monteras utanpåliggande
eller infällt i dörrsida.
Det är viktigt att högtalaren är ordentligt fastsatt annars kan ljudet
försämras.
De medföljande filtren bör monteras fast ordentligt så de inte ligger och skramlar. Undvik dock att placera filtren nära bilens egna
kabelstammar, detta kan orsaka störningar. Se till så att kablarna
inte kommer i kläm någonstans, de kan då kortsluta till jord och
orsaka dyra reparationer av stereo eller slutsteg.
Bashögtalarens galler fästs i sin plastram med hjälp av medföljande kitt som fördelas jämnt i plastramens spår. Tryck därefter
ner gallret och se till att det sitter så det inte skramlar .

Om du vill använda
ett separat filter, eller ett elektroniskt
delningsfilter till din
tweeter, så kppla ur
det inbyggda filtret
med hjälp av den inbyggda jumpern.
Filtret innehåller ett
överbelastningsskydd för tweetern
som återställer sig
självt.
BYGGA LÅDA
Om du tänker bygga en låda
till högtalarna skall du helst
göra den sluten. Lämplig lådstorlek kan variera beroende på
hur djupt du vill att baselementet skall spela. För fullt
utnyttjande av högtalarnas
prestanda så använd de rekommenderade lådvolymerna
här intill. Skall högtalaren inte
spela under ex.vis 100 Hz
räcker lådvolymer på halva de
angivna värdena.

De medföljande filtren ansluts till respektive högtalare enligt
skissen. Inuti filtret kan nivån till diskanten justeras i två steg,
high eller low genom att flytta den lilla bygeln. Välj den nivå
som du tyck er låter bäst.
Ibland kan mellanregisteråtergivningen förbättras genom att
fasvända diskanten, d.v.s. växla + och -. Prova själv för att se
vad du tycker låter bäst.
OBS! De bipackade filtren måste användas.
Kopplas diskanten in utan filter kan den gå
sönder, dessutom blir ljudet dåligt.

The tweeter filter
circiut can be
disconnected with an
inside jumper. This is
useful if you want to
use the tweeter with
an external filter or an
electronic crossover.
The filters also
include a tweeter
protection circuit
which resets itself if
it´s released.
SPEAKER PHASING
To be sure to have the correct speaker polarity (phase) you
can check this by using a 1,5 Volt battery.
Connect a cable from the battery plus-pole to the speaker
plus, and a cable from the battery minus to the speaker minus.
If the speakers are correctly connected the speaker cone
should move outwards on both right and left channel.
This check must be made on the cables going from the
speakers, to the output terminals of your car stereo or
amplifier.

This instruction will help you to do a correct installation.
If you want to get the best sound from your speakers we advice
you to read and follow this instruction. If possible mount the
speakers in a baffle of MDF-board or similar to avoid rattling.
For best result use high quality speaker cables, minim um 1,5 mm

BUILDING BOXES
If you want to build a box to
your speaker a sealed type
is to be prefered. The box
volume can vary depending
on how much bass you want
from your speakers. For
fullrange use of the
speakers, follow the
recommended box volumes
in the table. If you want to limit the reproduction at for
ex. 100 Hz, divide these
volumes b y half.

Speaker connection and tweeter
level select:
The filters in this system should be connected with the
respective speaker element as in the drawing. Select tw eeter
level by moving the jumper inside the filter box between high /
low. Make your own tests for best result.
Sometimes the midrange can be improved by phase
reversing the tweeter. Try it and judge yourself.
NOTE! The filters must be used. If the tweeters are
connected without filter they will be damaged and
the sound reproduction becomes bad.
FILTER DIAGRAM UP6:
MOUNTING:
Mount the speakers in the door or in the dashboard of your car.
Normally they will fit in the cars original mounting hole. If
possible reinforce with a baffle of MDF-board or similar. An installation high up on the door side is to be prefered. An
alternative installation is in so called kick panels down on each
side of the floor with the speakers facing up- and inwards
towards the listener. An installation of the tweeter close to the
bass/mid element is to be prefered. The tweeter can be installed
on the dash-board, or recessed in the door with the accessories
in the tweeter bo x .
It is important to fasten the speakers properly in order to avoid
bad sound and rattling.
The filters included with the speakers must also be fastened
properly to avoid rattling. Don´t place them close to the internal
wiring of the car, this can cause interference. Make sure the
cables don´t get jammed causing a short circuit to ground. This
can damage the amplifier circuits.
The speaker grilles are mounted in the plastic speaker frame by
the use of the rubber coumpound included in the packing.
Spread the compound ev en in the frame.
The tweeter installation is described in the instruction sheet
coming with the tweeters.
