Tack för att du köpt DLS koaxialhögtalare. Denna bruksanvisning hjälper dig vid installation och inkoppling. En
riktig installation är viktig om du vill få ut bästa möjliga
ljud ur dina högtalare.
Montera om möjligt högtalarna i en baffel av MDF-board
eller liknande så undviker du skrammel och får ett fylligare ljud.
Använd om möjligt högtalarkablar av hög klass, min 1.5
mm

, exempelvis DLS SC 2x 1,5.
MONTERING:
Montera högtalaren i dörrsidan eller instrumentbrädan i
bilens originaluttag. Om det finns möjlighet så förstärk
med en baffel av MDF-board eller liknande. En montering högt upp på dörrsidan ger oftast den bästa ljudåtergivningen. Ett alternativ är montering i så kallad kickpanel vid bilens torpedväggar med högtalarna riktade
snett uppåt / framåt.
Det är viktigt att högtalaren är ordentligt fastsatt annars
kan ljudet försämras.
Det medföljande filtret bör monteras fast ordentligt så
det inte ligger och skramlar. Se till så att kablarna inte
kommer i kläm någonstans, de kan då kortsluta till jord
och orsaka dyra reparationer av stereo eller slutsteg.
Högtalarens galler fästs i sin plastram med hjälp av
medföljande kitt som fördelas jämnt i plastramens spår.
Tryck därefter ner gallret och se till att det sitter så det
inte skramlar.

KONTROLL AV HÖGTALARNAS FASNING
Du kan kontrollera högtalarnas fasning (polaritet) med hjälp av
ett vanligt 1,5 volts ficklampsbatteri.
Anslut en kabel från batteriets plus-pol till högtalarens d:o och
en kabel från batteriets minus-pol till högtalarens minus.
Om du kopplat högtalarna rätt skall konen nu röra sig åt
samma håll (normalt utåt) på både höger och vänster kanal.
Denna kontroll gör du på kablarna som ansluts till högtalarutgångarna på bilstereon eller slutsteget.

INKOPPLING:

De tre kablarna från högtalaren kopplas till tre av filtrets
anslutningar enligt skissen. Minus är gemensam för woofer och
tweeter. Två olika typer av filterboxar förekommar. En med och en
utan skruvterminaler.

Inkoppling och val av diskantnivå:
Det medföljande filtret ansluts med röd, blå och svart kabel till högtalarens kopplingsplint. Högtalarens plint är märkt med samma färger.
Input-anslutningen kopplas till utgången på bilstereo eller slutsteg.
Nivån till diskanten kan justeras i två steg, high / low, genom att flytta
den lilla bygeln inuti filtret. Prova dig fram till det du tycker låter bäst.
På de modeller som levereras med kabelfilter justeras diskantnivån
genom att koppla ihop grön kabel med antingen röd eller gul.
DLS 1070 har inget nivåval till diskanten.
OBS! Filtren måste användas. Om högtalaren kopplas
in utan filter kan diskanten gå sönder, dessutom blir
ljudet dåligt.

according to drawing. Minus is common for both tweeter and
woof er. There are two types of filter box es in use. One is without
screw terminals.

Thank you for buying DLS coaxial speakers.
This instruction will help you to do a correct installation.
If you want to get the best sound from your speakers we
advice you to read and follow this instruction.
If possible mount the speakers in a baffle of MDF-board
or similar to avoid rattling.
For best result use high quality speaker cables, minimum 1,5 mm

. For example the DLS SC 2 x 1,5.
MOUNTING:
Mount the speaker in the door or in the dashboard of
your car. Normally they will fit in the cars original
mounting hole. If possible reinforce with a baffle of MDFboard or similar. An installation high up on the door side
is to be prefered. An alternative installation is in so called
kick panels down on each side of the floor with the
speakers facing up- and inwards towards the listener..
It is important to fasten the speakers properly in order to
avoid bad sound and rattling.
The filter box included with the speaker must also be
fastened properly to avoid rattling. Make sure the cables
don´t get jammed causing a short circuit to ground. This
can damage the amplifier circuits.
The speaker grilles are mounted in the plastic speaker
frame by the use of the rubber coumpound coming with
the speaker. Spread the compound even in the frame.

SPEAKER PHASING
To be sure you have the correct speaker polarity (phase) you
can check this by using a 1,5 Volt battery.
Connect a cable from the battery plus-pole to the speaker
plus, and a cable from the battery minus to the speak er min us.
If the speakers are correctly connected the speaker cone
should move outwards on both right and left channel.
This check must be made on the cables going from the
speakers, to the output terminals of your car stereo or
amplifier.

Speaker connection and tweeter level select:
Use the red, blue and black cables to connect between the filter box
and speaker terminal. Note the speak er terminal colour marking.
Select tweeter level by moving the jumper inside the filter box
between high / low . Make your own tests for best result. On the cable
filter box without screw terminals the level select is made on the
outside by connecting the green cable to either the red or yellow one
coming out from the box. DLS 1070 has no tweeter level selector .
NOTE! The filters must be used. If the speakers are
connected without the filter the tweeter will be damaged
and the sound reproduction becomes bad.
