DJI Terra Upgrade and Maintenance Fee Rules
1. The validity period is calculated from the first activation and binding
date. Users are entitled to free updates for the same license version
within the first year. Any update for the same license version from the
second year onwards will incur a yearly fee.
2. If a user has gone into the paid update period but has not paid any
fees, and wishes to update the software to the latest version several
years later, he or she will need to pay the fees for the current year as
well as those previous years not paid for.
3. The number of years payable for = effective date after renewal -
current effective date.
4. Users can download and use any software version released during
the paid update period he or she has paid for.
5. If a user’s permanent license has been bound to a device, the first
binding date will not change after a subsequent unbinding and
binding of the license.

6. Users may purchase an upgrading and maintenance kit together with
a license. For instance, a user may purchase an upgrading and
maintenance kit valid for a number of years together with a Pro
permanent license. The update validity period for the permanent
license will be extended based on the number of years purchased for
the upgrading and maintenance kit.
7. User’s software has gone into the paid update period but has not
paid any upgrading and maintenance fee. He or she has since
downloaded a new version released during the paid update period.
The paid functions will not be available for the new released version,
but can still use the basic functions.
8. If a user has two types of licenses: A and B (Advanced and Pro
versions, for example). The update validity period is the same on both
of them. The Pro version has gone into the paid update period but no
upgrade and maintenance fee has been paid; the Advanced version
has also gone into the paid update period but its upgrade and
maintenance fee has been paid.
If he or she has downloaded and updated to a version released
during the paid update period, he or she can use the functions on the

Advanced version, but not those on the Pro version.
9. Example:
A user has purchased a Pro version license and bound it to his device
on October 8, 2018. The license was activated on that day. These are
the different renewal scenarios the user may encounter
Continuous payments:
a) Pay the fees at free update period: renewal for one year
b) Pay the fees at the first paid update period: renewal for one
year
Non-continuous payments:
a) Pay the fees at the second paid update period: renewal for one
year

b) Pay the fees at the third paid update period: renewal for three
years
