4540SG / 4530SG SIGHT GLASS REPLACEMENT GUIDE

DISASSEMBLY

CAUTION: SAFETY GLASSES MUST BE WORN DURING DISASSEMBLY AND SERVICE.

1. Remove the retaining ring from assembly.

2. Drill two holes in the sight glass in the uppermost location
as shown in figure 2. Holes should be aligned

3. It is recommended to apply penetrating oil to ease removal of the sight
glass.

4. Refer to figure 3-4 and insert the screw driver or round bar through the
holes and push down on the sight glass until it is free from the first
o-ring. Once the sight glass passes the first o-ring, push the sight glass
at the top portion of the adapter body with the screw driver.
See Figure 4.

5. After the sight glass and o-ring have been removed, thoroughly clean
the o-ring groove to remove any debris and penetrating oil.
