DITEK TPV Series Installation Instructions

Application This device is intended for indoor use on twisted pair video systems.

Connection

1. This unit must be connected in series with the equipment to be protected.

2. For best results install one unit prior to, and one unit after the equipment to be protected.

3. Connect incoming wires to side #1 IN, and connect the opposite side of the terminal block to the equipment to be protected.

4. Make sure the wire distance from the surge protector to protected equipment is greater than the wire distance from the surge protector to ground.

5. Connect the unit ground to the common ground, with 25 ohms or less.

6. Use only one common ground per system to eliminate the possibility of a differential in ground potentials.

7. Securely mount this device using double-sided tape (supplied), or two #8 screws. (Not supplied).
