Basic Operation
Pressing the Power Button will turn the Desktop Station on
and off. It controls the power independently from the
Sportster or Music Device in the Docking Cradle.
iPod 30-pin connector
The iPod cradle also has an 30-pin connection on top of the
cradle (refer to assembly illustration) to allow a computer
connection for data/music upload to the docked iPod.
Reference your iPod user guide for how to connect the
cable to the PC.
iPod Battery Charging
If the iPod is docked and the power is On to the Docking
Station, the iPod’s battery will be charged. Reference your
iPod user guide for additional charging information.
Troubleshooting
If the docked iPod will not play or respond to commands
from the remote control:
1. Verify that the cradle is securely latched into the
Executive Docking Station.
2. Are you using the correct insert pad for the iPod being
docked.
3. Verify that the iPod is securely connected to the cradle.
4. Has the plastic protective battery slip been removed
from the remote?
5. Check and, if necessary, replace the battery in the
remote.
6. Verify that the power is On to both the Docking Station
and the iPod.
7. If there is no audio from the Docking Station, ensure
that the Mute is Off, the Source is set to MAIN, and the
volume control is adjusted up.
