What is EncryptR™ Technology?
EncryptR™ employs proprietary encryption software that sends unique codes from the remote starter to the ADS-TB or ADS-AL-CA bypass module that cannot be replicated or reversed with hi-tech equipment.
The EncryptR™ communication exchan ged between the remote s tarter and the ADS byp ass module is best described as a “sec ret handshake” tha t is never the same and c hanges every time it is used.
Since the command / communication is never exchanged in the same way twice, it is impossible even for expert thieves to duplicate and it ensures the best possible s ecurity for the remote starter system.
Added Security
Every installation of a Polarstart remote starter used in conjunction with an ADS-TB or an ADS-AL-CA with the EncryptR™ Technology comes with a Limited Anti-Theft Warranty covering up to $2,000 in the event of theft. In order to qualify, upon completion of the installation, your installer should go on-li ne to www.encryptr.com
and fill out the Limited antitheft warranty form. A copy should be printed and given to you for your records. Within ten (10) working days a pair of holographic stick ers will be mailed to you. Upon receiving them, you must ensure to affix them to both front-side windows of your vehicle.
Holographic stickers to be affixed to both front-side windows.

When leaving the vehicle it is recommended t o preset the acc essory controls in pre paration for the next remote start. Settings for the bl ower motor (fan), front and r ear, should not be left on HIGH. It is recommended to leave the settings on LOW or MEDIUM instead.
WindshieldWipers&Radio&Headlights
Certain vehicles require the ra dio and / or windshield wiper and / or h eadlight circuits to become energized while running under r emote start. When leaving the vehicle you must ensure that the windshield wiper and headlight switches are OFF. Leaving the headlight switch ON on certain types of vehicles could cause the m to remain ON even after remote starter shut down, res ulting in a dead battery.
Arminganddisarmingthestarterkill(ifinstalled)
This added security feature will prevent the vehicle from starting with the Ignition key when the starter kill is armed. If the system was installed with the starter kill option, the vehicle will not be able to start with the key unless the system has been unlocked first or put into Valet Mode (page 9).

The condition of the battery in the transmitter.
The operating environment (for example: downt own radio-frequency noise, airports, cellular
phone towers…)
Metal: any type of metal will affect operating range. This includes the metal in the car.
The shape of the vehicle can affect rang e as well; vans in general have an especially po or
range.
The shape of the roof in A-pillars brings about consid erable r adio-freque ncy deflec tion (in this case the signal from the remote control). As a result, the direction in which the vehicle is facing in relation to the remote control can affect th e range. Straight on – standing in front of the vehicle – generally gives y ou the greatest range; the second bes t performance is from the back. Using the remote control from either side of the vehicle will usually give the lowest range.
The range will be significantly lower in a crowded parking lot than in open space.
Always hold the transmitter high, approximately at shoulder height. Holding the transmitter
against your chin will also increase your range: your head acts as an antenna.
The operating range will be somewhat lower on vehicles equipped with an aftermarket or factory alarm.
