These limit s are designed to p rovide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a res idential ins tallation. T his equipment generates and can radi ate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or tel evision rec eption, which can be determined by t urning the equipme nt off and on, the user is encouraged to t ry to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
Increase the separation between the equipment and recei ver.

Windshield Wipers, Radio & Headlights
Certain vehicles requi re th e radio a nd / or windshiel d wipers and / or headlights circuits to bec ome energized while running under remo te start. When leaving the vehicle you must ensure that the windshield wipers and headlights switches are OFF. Leavi ng the headlights switch ON in certain types of vehicles could caus e them to remai n ON even after remote starter shut down , resul ting i n a dead battery.

Sliding door(s):
These commands allow y ou to control most of the vehicle’s acces sories depending on what was connected during the installation (headlights, defroster, sliding doo r, etc.). For more info rmation, check with your technician.
Troubleshooting Poor Transmission Range
Many factors may affect the operating range of the transmitter. Some of these are:
The condition of the battery in the transmitter.
The operating environment (for ex ample: downtown radio-frequency noise, airports, cellular
phone towers…).
Metal: any type of metal will affect operating range. This includes the vehicle itself.
The shape of the vehicle can affect range as well (vans in general have less range).
The shape of the ro of and A-pillars brings about c onsiderable radio-frequency defl ection (in
this case, the signal from the r emote c ontrol). As a r esult, the di rection i n whic h the vehic le is facing in relation to the remote contr ol can affect the ra nge. Straight on ( standing in front of the vehicle) generally gives you the greatest range; the second best perf ormance is from t he back. Using the remote control from either side of the vehicle will usually give the lowest range.
The range will be significantly lower in a crowded parking lot than in open space.
Always hold the transmitter high, approximately at shoulder height.
The operating range will be somewhat lower on vehicles equipped with an aftermarket or
factory alarm.
