IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNINGS The instruction leaflet belongs to the appliance and must be kept in a safe place. If changing owners, the leaflet must be surrendered to the new owner. DO NOT use the heater where gas, petrol, paint or other inflammable goods are stored. DO NOT use the heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool. DO NOT place the heater directly below a fixed socket outlet. WARNING: In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater. DO NOT place the unit close to curtains and/or other flammable objects as a risk of fire exists. IMPORTANT: The heater must be placed a minimum of 1metre from the wall. The socket-outlet must be accessible at all times to enable the mains plug to be disconnected as quickly as possible. DO NOT COVER the heater with anything during operation and for a short time after it is shut down as a risk of fire exists.
NB: Before connecting or operating the appliance please ensure that you remove the protective cover. The product must never be operated with the protective cover fitted. DO NOT use this heater with a programmer,
timer, separate remote-control system or any other device that switches the heater on automatically, since a fire risk exists if the heater is covered or positioned incorrectly. DO NOT operate the heater with the mains lead wrapped around the unit. DO NOT push any items through, obstruct or cover the grille or the heater head. WARNING: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cut-out, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility. IMPORTANT: If the mains lead of this appliance is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified person in order to avoid a hazard. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience or knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance. CAUTION: Some parts of this product can become very hot during operation and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present. Switch off and allow to cool down for a sufficient time before attempting to move, carry or clean the appliance, hot surfaces so potential danger of burns if handled during operation or before it has cooled down fully. Avoid use of an extension cord because the extension cord may overheat and cause risk of fire. DO NOT move the heater when connected to an electrical supply and always wait for it to cool down before storing away. The heater should always be used on a stable, flat horizontal surface where all the feet on the base are in contact with the floor. DO NOT use this heater as a cloth/towel drier, a sauna heater, a room heater or in a place of animal propagating and raising. The heater is intended for outdoor domestic use only. It is not safe to use on a building site, greenhouse, barn or stable especially where flammable dust or fumes may be present. Handle with care and avoid subjecting the heater to major vibrations or heavy impacts as this may damage the product and in particular the element.

General This heater is a 1,500 W radiant patio heater, using a
halogen heating element, with light. Site the heater outside or in a large open area, it is not intended as a room heater, and well away from any obstructions. It is shown assembled in Fig 1, where the power switches are shown located beneath the grille. One dark point may exist on the surface of the heating element during the first few minutes after it is turned on. This is normal and will not affect the performance of the unit.

Assembly Instructions Unpack the heater making sure that all the items are present, that there are no components left in the box and that the heater head is free from any packing material. The heater must be handled with care to avoid any damage. Do not connect the heater to electrical supply if any of the components or the power cord is damaged in any way.
Method Ensure you have removed all packing materials and then fix the base to the heater pole using the 3 pcs M8 * 25 mm screws provided. Tighten screws by hand using the allen key provided, see below.
Operation NB: Before connecting/operating the appliance please
ensure that you remove the protective cover (and store it away carefully). Product must never be operated with the protective cover fitted.
Connect the power cord to a 13 amp supply that is located in a safe dry area. The switches on the heater are used to control the operation of the element and of the light and speaker on the top of the heater.
The battery is a Lithium Cell type CR2025. The remote can turn the light on/off, change the brightness, the colour and mode of operation, see below button operation instructions.
SPEAKER OPERATION
Pair your device with the speaker which will identify itself as ‘Sun & Sound’. The speaker controls are on the top of the unit, see below operating control instructions.
The switch on the left turns on and off the light and the speaker. The switch on the right turns on and off the element. The unit must be securely grounded during operation. Although the heater is shower proof, do not use when raining or in wet conditions. Always disconnect the power cord from the electrical supply when the patio heater is not in use, you should also cover it with the protective cover provided when not in use,
NB: You must allow the product to cool down completely after use before fitting the protective cover.
Remote Control
This appliance is supplied with a remote that can be used to control the light at the top of the column. Please remove the plastic battery insulation sheet before using the remote (see diagram).
Care and Maintenance The head of the heater is at a high temperature during
operation. Disconnect the heater from the electrical supply and wait until it cools before cleaning. Clean the outside of the heater with a damp cloth. Never use corrosive or solvent cleaners or immerse in water. Any maintenance or repairs including replacement of the halogen tube should only be carried out by a qualified electrician or by a recommended service centre.
Recycling
The crossed bin symbol on the appliance indicates that the product, at the end of its life, must be disposed of separately from domestic waste, either by taking it to a separate waste
disposal site for electric and electronic appliances or by returning it to your dealer when you buy another similar appliance. The user is responsible for taking the appliance to a special waste disposal site at the end of its life. If the disused appliance is collected correctly as separate waste, it can be recycled, treated and disposed of

ecologically; this avoids a negative impact on both the environment and health, and contributes towards the recycling of the product’s materials. For further information regarding the waste disposal services available, contact your local waste disposal agency or manufacturer.
Batteries should be disposed of or recycled in accordance with WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU. Packaging should be recycled where possible.
Warranty What does an Dimplex Warranty cover?
Dimplex products deliver reliable service for normal, household use in domestic settings. All Dimplex products are individually tested before leaving the factory. If you are a consumer and you experience a problem with your Dimplex product, which is found to be defective due to faulty materials or workmanship within the Warranty Period, this Dimplex Warranty will cover repair or - at the discretion of Dimplex – replacement with a functionally equivalent Dimplex product. The Dimplex Warranty Period is one year from the date of purchase of your Dimplex product, or the date of delivery of the product, if later. The Dimplex Warranty is conditional upon you providing the original purchase receipt as proof of purchase. Please therefore retain your receipt as proof of purchase. For ROI please email serviceireland@glendimplex.com or call +353 (0)1 842 833. We will need details of your Dimplex product, its serial number and a description of the fault which has occurred. You can find the model number and serial number for your Dimplex product on the heaters side. Once we receive your information and proof of purchase we will contact you to make the necessary arrangements. If your Dimplex product is not covered by this Dimplex Warranty there may be a charge to repair your product. However, we will contact you for agreement to any charges before any chargeable service is carried out.
What is not covered by a Dimplex Warranty?
The Dimplex Warranty does not cover any of the following:
• Any fault or damage to your Dimplex product due to faulty materials or workmanship occurring outside the one year Warranty Period.
• Any fault or damage occurring to any pre-owned Dimplex product or to any other equipment or property.
• Accidental damage to your Dimplex product or damage to your Dimplex product from external sources (for example, transit, weather, electrical outages or power surges).
• Fault or damage to your Dimplex product which is:
• Not due to faulty materials or workmanship or which is due to circumstances outside Dimplex’s control.
• Caused by use of your Dimplex product for anything other than normal domestic household purposes in the country where it was purchased.
• Caused by any misuse, abuse or negligent use of the Dimplex product, including but not limited to any failure to use it in accordance with the Operating Instructions supplied with the product.
• Caused by any failure to assemble, install clean and maintain your Dimplex product in accordance with the Operating Instructions supplied with the product unless this was carried out by Dimplex or its authorised dealers.
• Caused by repairs or alterations to your Dimplex product not carried out by Dimplex service personnel or its authorised dealer(s).
• Caused by use of any consumables or spare parts for your Dimplex product which are not Dimplex -specified.
Terms and Conditions
• The Dimplex Warranty is valid for Dimplex from the date of purchase of your Dimplex product from a recognised retailer in the country of purchase and use, or the date of delivery of the product if later, always provided the original receipt has been retained and is produced as proof of purchase.
• You must provide to Dimplex or its authorised agents on request the original receipt as proof of purchase and - if required by Dimplex - proof of delivery. If you are unable to provide this documentation, you will be required to pay for any repair work required.
• Any repair work under the Dimplex Warranty will be carried out by Dimplex or its authorised dealer(s) and any parts that are replaced will become the property of Dimplex Any repairs performed under the Dimplex Warranty will not extend the Warranty Period.
• Any replacement of your Dimplex product by Dimplex during the Warranty Period will start the one year Warranty Period afresh from the date of delivery of the replacement Dimplex product to you.
• The Dimplex Warranty does not entitle you to recovery of any indirect or consequential loss or damage including but not limited to loss or damage to any other property.
• The Dimplex Warranty is in addition to your statutory rights as a consumer and your statutory rights are not affected by this Dimplex Warranty.
