Cold air curtain keeps the original taste of kimchi.
The thick cooling layer of air between the door and the storage compartment minimizes
the outflow of internal cold air to help keep kimchi fresh longer.
With specialized storage capacity for kimchi, dimchae° is the one and
only kimchi refrigerator making all sorts of kimchi delicious.
Ready-made purchased kimchi or kimchi obtained from relatives are ripening during the course
of delivery. Thus, it is not easy to suppress ripening even if we keep it in the kimchi refrigerator.
But long-term safekeeping mode for ready-made purchased kimchi keeps the ripened kimchi
to contain a large quantity of CO2 for fresh taste and keeps kimchi fresh by suppressing the
growth of lactic acid bacterium that makes kimchi spoiled. This technology was first developed
and adopted to dimchae°and it suppresses the ripening of kimchi up to 3 months from the time
of storage of kimchi in dimchae°and helps kimchi to be more delicious by gradually ripening it
from the 4th month of storage. This technology keeps your kimchi that is prepared for the winter
fresh and delicious for a long time.

Fermentation science of dimchae° that makes kimchi more delicious and highly nutritious
through optimum temperature and moisture control by automatic detection of various kimchi

vitamin C that is effective for relieving stress, skin care and antioxidant more than 270%
comparing to the newly-made Kimchi and 25% comparing to other companies’products. Kimchi
is naturally fermented and you can enjoy healthier and fresh kimchi through intake of natural

Meet the Chill function that keeps not only kimchi but also all sorts
of food stay fresh and tasty.
It is a new concept freezing technology that supplemented the disadvantage of freezing,
which freezes the tissue of food for keeping it from being destroyed in short-term
storage and freezes solid for long-term storage. Chill function is a new concept freezing
technology as the time for defrosting is short since chill function freezes foods slowly
while keeping the original tissues and nutrition of food.
No more worry about frost.
Though frost formation in the kimchi refrigerator has been known to be inevitable due
to the moisture and temperature difference between the inside and outside, haven’t you
felt annoyed? For such owners, dimchae°is equipped with Ez Clean function for easy

Ez Clean function defrosts dimchae°in a very short time (30 minutes) by raising the
temperature inside. No more hassle needed in defrosting your kimchi refrigerator.
Don't forget to empty container before starting Ez clean mode. If you don’t remove
kimchi out of the container while using Ez Clean, your kimchi might get too fermented.

The appliance may not work or cause a fire if used
with a power source with different standards.
Do not install the appliance in a place that is
damp, can be splashed by water or is dusty.

It may cause an electric shock or an electric leakage,
leading to a injury or fatality.
Do not install the appliance in a place that
receives direct sunshine, is overheated or has
other heating equipment nearby.
● The cooling effect of the appliance is reduced, which
causes an increased consumption of electricity.

Install the appliance at least 4˝ away from any

● Good air circulation in the room helps the appliance to
disperse the heat generated, and maintain its cooling effect.
● Leave a gap between the appliance and a refrigerator

Stand the appliance on a strong and flat

● An uneven surface may cause sound from the appliance.
● By using the height adjustment screw, the appliance
can be levelled on an uneven surface.
Make sure that the cord is not bent or crushed by
a heavy object.

● A damaged plug may cause an electric shock or a fire.
Using a clean dry towel, remove dust or
any stains on the plug, before plugging the
appliance in.

Make sure to fill only 70~80% of the kimchi
container with kimchi to prevent its juice from
overflowing, as kimchi ripens.
● As kimchi ripens, it increases its juice and may overflow.
When opening and closing the door, use the
handle only. Make sure that your hands are not
caught in the door.
● This may injure your hand.
Use containers provided separately for meat,
fish and vegetables.
● It prevents food from drying and is more hygienic.
Cool down hot food before putting it in
dimchae°
● Hot food affects kimchi kept in the same shelf,
making kimchi sour.
Please open upper lids as little as possible
while the‘Fermentation’function is on.
● Outside air may change room temperature or degrade
the taste of Kimchi.
● CAUTION?
Watch your hands when opening/closing the lid. If the lid falls down, it may cause injury.

● Be aware that water in the drainspout may fall to
the floor when moving or shifting the appliance.
Please make sure to remove the rubber border
inside the door when disposing the product.

Clean the inside with a dry cloth. (Refer to page 20)

● Layers of frost in dimchae°are caused by the temperature
difference between the inside and outside of dimchaedimchae°
It is a normal process of the direct cooling system.
When the warning lamp is switched on together
with a buzzing sound, the appliance is not
working properly. Press any button to stop the
buzzing sound and contact a service center
nearby.
Tape the doors securely to keep it from

Unplug the appliance if it is not to be
used for a long period of time.
● After unplugging the appliance, clean it, and leave
the lid open for one day to completely dry it.

Store Kimchi container that you are not using in

When installed in a place with a high temperature, the compressor use increases, consuming more electricity.
●
Electricity consumption varies depending on the ways of using the appliance and the modes selected.

Follow the instructions below for power saving.
Do not open the lid unnecessarily.
● Cool air let out of dimchae○, and hot air outside going in
affect the temperature inside the appliance. In turn,
the compressor inside the appliance starts operating to
lower the temperature, consuming electricity.

It is not for long-term storage; so, please check contents frequently while
storing.
● If vegetable/fruit function is set up, much water may remain inside than
Kimchi storage function.
● For details of vegetable/fruit storage, please refer to the page 13.
● If selecting [야채/과일] mode while using Kimchi or chill storage, floor
may be wet due to the frost inside the dimchae° It is not a malfunction
so just dry and use it.

ripened status of Kimchi

● If you think the taste of Kimchi is still not fully ripen,press
[하룻밤]button in [풀림] status. Then [추가] lamp is turned on and
[추가]ripening is processed for two hours →[추가] ripening is
possible only twice consecutively.
● If you think the taste of Kimchi is appropriate, you may change the
mode to [김치류-표준] by pressing [보관선택] in [풀림] status.
→Without mode change within two hours from [맛보기] mode,
it is automatically changed to [보관선택-김치류-표준] mode.
→ Without mode change within two hours from [맛보기] mode, it is automatically
changed to [보관선택-김치류-표준] mode

※ Additional ripening function ripens Kimchi more than present condition,
so Kimchi may be overly ripened in the long term.

It is a technology to ripen in condition similar to the natural ripening within the house

How to set up Ez Clean Mode

● Select Ez클린 after removing all the foods including
kimchi from the compartment and while door is opened.
※ What is‘Ez Clean’?
● It is a defrosting function..

❶ Open the door and empty the
compartment you want to defrost.
❷ Press the [잠금/풀림] button for three seconds
to change to unlock.
● If any input is not made within twenty-five seconds, the
appliance will be returned to
잠금
.
❸ Press Ez클린 button after emptying the
room, 좌실 or 우실 , you want to defrost
and opening its door.
● Mode change is available when the power for the room you want to
change function is on.
❹ When it is defrosted, you will hear a buzzer sound. The appliance will
return to the mode selected prior to Ez 클린 .
● Ez 클린 is automatically canceled 30 minutes later or when the inside
temperature reaches 10℃.
● When a buzzer goes off, clean thoroughly the inside of the appliance.
● After Ez클린 is done, there still be remaining layer of frost. Do
not try to remove it with scrubber or sharp metal tools it may
cause scratches and even a defect of appliance.

Problems Solutions/explanations
■ If you use only one room, you may feel the
chilly air in the room that is turned off, but it is
not breakdown.

When the power comes back on after a power failure, do not operate the
buttons.
The appliance automatically starts operating again in the mode selected
previously.

is selected, the appliance automatically calculates the time a particular mode
requires and starts operating. Therefore, you do not need to manipulate the appliance.
● If you do not open the door to keep the cool air inside the appliance
during a power failure, the cool air may last for two hours.
❶ If you hold the lower part of the deodorizing filter cover and pull
toward the direction an arrow indicates (towards the opened door),
the cover of the filter will be opened with a clicking sound.
❷ Dry removed filter in the shaded area with good air circulation for
twenty-four hours and reuse it.
Do not dry the deodorizing filter in a microwave oven
● It may cause a fire.
● The deodorizing filter will melt and cannot be reused.

Cyclopentane used as a insulation blowing gas. The gases in insulation
material require special disposal procedure. Please contact your local
authorities in regard to the envionmentally safe disposal of this product.
Refrigeration from the late nineties contains a cooling system that uses
HCFC's (Hydrochlorflurocarbons) refrigerant (134a) These gases must be
reclaimed.
If you are throwing away your old refrigerator, make sure the HCFC's
refrigerant is removed for proper disposal by a qualified servicer.
If you intentionally release this HCFC's refrigerant, you can be subject to
fines and imprisonment under provisions of enviromental legislation.
Ensure that none of the pipes on the back of the appliances are damaged
prior to disposal. The pipes shall be broke in an open area.

The authorized warrantor will repair this Winiamando product with new or refurbished parts, free
ofcharge, in the USA and Canada only, for one (1) year from the date of original purchase in the
event of a defect in materials or workmanship.
This Limited Warranty Excludes both Labor and Parts for : cosmetic, accessories, and
optional accessories (e.g., Baskets, Stand, etc…).
This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser. A purchase receipt or other proof of
date of original purchase will be required before warranty service is rendered.
This warranty only covers failures due to defects in materials or workmanship, which occur
during normal use. The warranty does not cover damaged which occur in shipment, or
