Introduction
Your new Dihl instant kettle allows you to make a hot drink almost instantly. Read this user manual carefully before you use the appliance and save it for future reference.
Caution
Read all instructions carefully before use.
1.
Before first use, check to ensure the voltage
2. indicated on the unit corresponds to the voltage of your home.
Do not operate the unit if the water is below
3. the minimum level as this will cause damage to the heating element.
Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a
4. table or counter, and keep away from hot surfaces or naked flames.
Do not put the appliance in the refrigerator.
5.
Do not lean the appliance or operate it upside
6. down.
Preparing for use
Place the device on a flat surface in a safe
1. location and plug it in.
Do not use the filter for the initial preparation
2. outlined here.
Fill the water tank with 2 litres of water and
3. remove the tray from the front of the unit.
Place a 2 litre or greater container in from of
4. the device so that it will collect water from the spout.
Press the lock button for 3 to 5 seconds to
5. unlock. Use the temperature button to choose ‘000’, and the volume button to choose ‘000’ too.
Press the confirm button to dispense water for
6. about a minute.
Empty and replace the container, but this time
7. choose the 100 degree setting and repeat the procedure above.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

The unit is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer.

Keep away from children. Do not allow children to play with the unit.
11.
To prevent electric shock or other injury, never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid, nor rinse it under the tap.
12.
Do not touch the hot surface or water spout when in use.
NB. If the overflow tray becomes full, wait for it to cool before emptying.
Cleaning
Always switch off and unplug your water

Do not immerse the unit in any liquid.

Wipe the outside of the appliance with a

clean, damp cloth.
Clean the appliance with hot soapy water

and a non-abrasive sponge.
To maintain performance, descale the

appliance monthly. To do this, add some detergent to hot water and operate the unit at least three times. Rinse thoroughly with clean water before using again.

Do not block the steam outlet or open the water tank lid while the appliance is in use.
14.
Do not use the appliance to heat anything other than water.
15.
Do not fill the water jug above the maximum level.
To clean the reservoir, remove the stopper

plug at the base of the unit and empty any residue water. Wash with a clean damp cloth, rinse, and replace the drainage stopper securely before reusing.
