Introduction
Your new Dihl instant kettle allows you to make a hot drink almost instantly. Read this user manual carefully before you use the appliance and save it for future reference.
Caution
Read all instructions carefully before use.
1.
Before first use, check to ensure the voltage
2. indicated on the unit corresponds to the voltage of your home.
Do not operate the unit if the water is below
3. the minimum level as this will cause damage to the heating element.
4.
Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, and keep away from hot surfaces or naked flames.
5.
Do not put the appliance in the refrigerator.
6.
Do not lean the appliance or operate it upside down.
Preparing for use
Place on a flat surface.

Plug the unit into the mains and turn on the
2. power switch. The red LED indicator will illuminate.
Clean thoroughly before first use.
3.
Fill the water tank and operate several times
4. before first use.
Place a cup on the overflow tray and press
5. the ‘ON’ button. After a short period, the LED will turn green.
Press the ‘ON’ button to dispense the water.
6. Press the ‘OFF’ button to stop the flow of water.
The unit will cut out when there is insufficient
7. water. At this point the green LED indicator will turn red. Turn off the power switch to automatically prevent water from being dispensed when the water tank is refilled.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

The unit is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer.

Keep away from children. Do not allow children to play with the unit.
11.
To prevent electric shock or other injury, never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid, nor rinse it under the tap.
12.
Do not touch the hot surface or water spout when in use.
13.
Do not block the steam outlet or open the water tank lid while the appliance is in use.
When the water overflow tray is full, allow the
8. water to cool before removing the tray and pouring away. Always reattach the water overflow tray before continuing use.
Cleaning
Always switch off and unplug your water

Do not immerse the unit in any liquid.

Wipe the outside of the appliance with a

clean, damp cloth.
Clean the appliance with hot soapy water

and a non-abrasive sponge.
To maintain performance, descale the

appliance monthly. To do this, add some detergent to hot water and operate the unit at least three times. Rinse thoroughly with clean water before using again.

Do not use the appliance to heat anything other than water.
15.
Do not fill the water jug above the maximum level.
To clean the reservoir, remove the rubber
6.
stopper plug at the base of the unit and empty any residue water. Wash with a clean, damp cloth and replace the rubber stopper securely before reusing.
