STEP 1 – PREPARING TO MOUNT THE CAMERA STEP 3 – INSTALLING AN LPR CAMERA
1. The mounting su rface must bear ve times th e weight of your camera.
2. Do not let the c ables get caught in imprope r places or the electric line c over
to be damaged. Thi s may cause a breakdown or re.
3. Using th e mounting template sheet or the cam era itself, mark and drill the
necessar y holes in the wall or ceiling.
4. Pass the wires through and make all necessary connections.
a. NET WORK CONNECTIONS – Using a PoE Switch o r PoE Injector,
connect the camera using an Ethernet cable for both data and power.
b. NETWORK CONNECTIONS – Not using PoE Switch or PoE Injector,
connect the camera to the switch using an Ethernet cable for data transmissio n and use a power adapter to power the came ra.

Resetting the camera: To reset the camera, use th e tip of a paper clip or a pencil and pr ess the reset button. Pressing th e button for ve (5) seconds will i nitiate a camera-wide reset of all th e settings, including network settings.

STEP 5 – MANAGING THE SD CARD
Use the diagram b elow to properly connect power, networ k, audio, alarm and sensors to the cam era.
1. To install the cam era’s SD Card, locate the SD car d slot in the bottom of
the camera by uns crewing the con cap.
2. Inser t class 10 SD/SDHC/SDXC card into the SD card slot by pressi ng
the SD card until cl icks.
3. To remove the SD card, pre ss the card inward until it clicks to rele ase from
the card slot than p ull out from the slot.

When inser ting the SD card into the card slot, the SD ca rd’s contacts shou ld be facing upward, as shown in the diag ram.

7. To view the camera’s web viewer, click on ‘V iew Camera Website’.
8. To save the change s made to the camera’s settings, input the ID an d PW of
the camera for au thentication and click ‘Save’.
9. If the c amera needs to be rebooted afte r the settings were changed, pre ss
the ‘Reboot’ but ton. The camera will cycle power an d will appear back in the search results once the reboot is complete.

Use the DW IP Finder™ software to sca n the network and detect all MEGA pix® IP cameras, set th e camera’s network settings or acce ss the camera’s web client.

2. Search fo r ‘IP Finder’ on the quick search ba r at the top of the page.

4. The s oftware will scan your netwo rk for all supported came ras and display
the results in the ta ble. Allow up to 5 seconds for the DW IP Fin der™ to nd the camera on the network.
5. Sele ct a camera from the list by double -clicking on the camera’s image
or clicking on t he ‘Click’ button under the IP Conf. col umn. The camera’s network infor mation will appear. If necessar y, you can adjust the ca mera’s network type.

Once the came ra’s network setting s have been setup properly, you can acce ss the camera’s web viewer us ing the DW IP Finder™.
To open the camera’s web viewer:
1. Find the camera using th e DW IP Finder™.
2. Double-click on the camera’s view in the results table.
3. Press th e ‘View Camera Website’. The camera’s web viewer will op en up
in your default we b browser.
4. Enter th e camera’s username and password (defau lt are admin / admin).
5. If you are a ccessing the camera for the r st time, install the VLC player for
web les in order to v iew video from the camera.
