DESCRIPTION
POCKET GPRS Power has been projected to satisfy the growing needs in the
world of Industry for Remote Control and Remote Reading applications.
It’s a monitoring and signalling system based on GPRS/GSM technology.
In particular an extremely advanced system for the device management has been
developed for a complete remote management both via CSD (data call at 9.6Kbps)
and via TCP/IP packet in case of GPRS connection (more and more requested for
the advantages in these kind of applications.).
The modem integrates also the function to send SMS Alive (or the equivalent IP
packet) to test the good operation of the device (this function is necessary in this
kind of application and background).
Even for the device access security it has been implemented the management of a control list based on the CLI.
Only if the number is in the list, it is possible to guarantee the access to the device for data transfer or maintenance.
The device has been carefully projected and built in order to guarantee its operation in hard environments.
For example the SIM has been placed directly inside the device to be protected against bad weather, dust and
humidity.

use in the mobile phone consumer market reduced the
quality even for this basic component).
A complex work has been carried out on the product to
reduce the number of components and consequently
increase the level of reliability. We can boast a MTBF
rate able to guarantee a fault rate lower than 0,35% per
year.
