The 3100FTX is the latest addition to
Digi’s FastPort®Family of
multiprotocol print servers. The Digi
FTX Print Servers allow multiple
users on Ethernet and Fast Ethernet
networks to share two, three or four
printers* or plotters even if they are
working in different operating
environments. This makes them an
ideal print sharing solution for large
corporations with Novell®LANs,
companies with multiuser UNIX

®

systems and organizations with
distributed sites that are based on
mixed protocols.

The 3100FTX supports a full range
of networking environments including
UNIX, Novell NetWare®, Apple

®

EtherTalk and NetBEUI (SMB-NBT).
For added flexibility, it’s equipped
with an autosensing 10/100 Mbps
network port that automatically
senses the speed of the incoming
signal and adjusts accordingly. This
allows you to plug it directly into
your Fast Ethernet network, or use it
in a standard Ethernet environment

until you’re ready to migrate to Fast Ethernet
technology.

Designed for ease of use, the 3100FTX print
server features FastManage

®

Windows®-based
SNMP Manager for easy set up and
configuration. FastManage provides a graphical
display of all Digi SNMP-enabled devices and
text display of other vendors’ products.

In UNIX–IP environments, Telnet support is also
available for alternate set up and configuration.
In Windows Peer-to-Peer Networking
environments, Digi’s unique discovery and
configuration method allows the use of standard
Windows printer methods with no additional
host software required.
