DHS Z-Wave Mini Remote Control

1. Configuring the device
Note: Before including the product to your Z-Wave network it is advised to perform a removal procedure to reset the device’s
network settings.
1.1 Log in to your system, type the IP of your Vera in your browser. Alternatively, if you have internet connection you can
go to https://findvera.com/ and follow the instructions.

1.2 Exclusion from Z-Wave home network
1.2.1 Press the Z-Wave button on the Vera for at least 7 sec and release, the Z-Wave LED will start to flash fast, check the
system interface for the following message:
1.2.2 Press the ’Learn’ hidden button on the DHS-ZW-RMMN-02, the Z-Wave LED on the Vera will flash quickly for a
couple seconds, the following message will appear on the system interface:
1.3 Inclusion to Z-Wave home network
1.3.1 Press the Z-Wave button on the Vera, the Z-Wave LED on Vera will flash slowly, the following message will appear
on the system interface:
1.3.2 Press the ’Learn’ hidden button on the DHS-ZW-RMMN-02, the Z-Wave LED on the Vera will flash quickly for a
couple seconds, the following message will appear on the system interface:
please note that Node and Device number in the above screen is only an example
1.3.3 Press the Z-Wave button on Vera to exit the inclusion mode, the Vera will process Z-Wave reconfiguration.
1.4 After the Vera finishes Z-Wave reconfiguration and the Z-Wave LED is on, go into ‘Devices/All’ in the system, you will find
DHS-ZW-RMMN-02 as ‘_MiniMote’ under no room.

1.5 Associate the device to a room and rename it
1.5.1 Go to ‘Setup/Rooms’, and add rooms. Click on ‘SAVE’ after any change, on the main screen.
1.5.2 Go to ‘Devices/All’, click on the wrench key and choose preferable room from the drop-down list on the right.
1.5.3 In the ‘Advanced’ tab you can change the name of the device, at the left hand side you can find the device ID, which
is useful for future automation scenes.

1.6 Scenes Control
This remote control can be used as a secondary controller when included into Vera, or a primary controller which works
Individually, in which case you need to include each Z-Wave device separately into it.
1.6.1 Go to ’AUTOMATION/new scene’, you will see the following screen:
1.6.2 Choose which device will be controlled and what it’s state will be (ON/OFF/dim). In the example we want to switch the
Corner light’ ON with our MiniMote, you can give a name to this scene (Remote Light), as well as associate a room
with this scene.
1.6.3 Go to the ’TRIGGERS’ tab and click on ’Add trigger’.

1.6.4 Choose from the list which device will control the ‘Corner Light’ according to our example it will be the ‘Remote’.

Note: To save click on ‘Confirm changes’ and then ‘SAVE’.

1.5.3 In the ‘Advanced’ tab you can change the name of the device, and at the left hand side you can find the device ID
which is useful for future automation scenes.
1.6.4 Go to ‘Devices/All’ the ‘Remote’ wrench key/Scene.
Section ON: Associate the scene that we just created with Button #1 being turned ON.
Press SAVE at the main screen.
Note: To use the OFF section you need to create an OFF scene for it using the same method outlined above.
