Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious personal injury.

WARNING: For your own safety, read the tool instruction manual before using any accessory. Failure to heed these warnings may result in personal injury and serious damage to the tool and the accessory. When

servicing this tool, use only identical replacement parts.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of eye injury, ALWAYS use eye protection when operating the

miter saw.

The DWS7085 is for use only with DEWALT light/laser attachment miter saws.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

Tool service must be performed only by qualified repair personnel. Service or maintenance performed by unqualified personnel may result in injury. To locate your nearest DEWALT service center call 1-800-4-DEWALT (1-800- 433-9258) or go to http://www.dewalt.com on the Internet.

Do not place the worklight in a position which may cause anyone to intentionally or unintentionally stare into the worklight. Serious eye injury could result.

Do not disassemble the worklight or worklight power supply. There are no user serviceable parts inside.

Do not modify the worklight in any way. Modifying the worklight may result in risk of injury.

The worklight is intended for lighting the workpiece area and is not a safety device.

Do not remove or deface warning labels.

Use Miter Saw Worklight System only with specifically designated DEWALT Miter Saws. Use of Miter Saw Worklight System on non-designated tools may create a risk of injury.

Use worklight part # 641437-00 only with worklight power supply part # 654657-00. Use of worklight with another power supply may create injury.

Installation of Miter Saw LED Worklight System

WARNING: Read all instructions for the Installation of Worklight Power Supply and the Installation of Worklight before proceeding with the Installation of the Miter Saw Worklight System.

INSTALLATION OF THE WORKLIGHT POWER SUPPLY (WPS)

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, turn tool off and disconnect tool from power source before making any adjustments or removing/installing attachments or accessories.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, DO NOT operate saw without the cover or power supply in place.

1.Remove the two screws from the miter saw handle with the T20 wrench provided. Save the screws to install the Worklight Power Supply (WPS) in Step 4. Retain the handle cover for future use if WPS is removed.

2.Attach the connections to the WPS.

3. Arrange the wire connection such that the wide portion of the connector is placed against the bottom of the miter saw handle and fit the WPS to the handle.

4.Attach the WPS with the two screws removed in Step 1.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, turn tool off and disconnect tool from power source before

making any adjustments or removing/installing attachments or accessories.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, DO NOT operate saw without the cover or worklight in place.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, DO NOT touch the sharp points on the blade with fingers or hands when guard is open.

1.Remove the four screws (A) with the the T20 wrench provided. Save the screws to install the worklight in Step 4. Retain the cover for future use if worklight is removed.

NOTE: Manually open the guard (B) if needed to access and remove the lower two screws (A).

2. Attach the connection from lead wire to the worklight.

3. Tuck the wire connection into the area in the worklight as shown. Attach the worklight to the saw.

4. Attach the worklight with the four screws removed in Step 1. Tighten screws securely.

WARNING: Do not operate the miter saw if any of the screws are missing, stripped out or not seated.

5.Manually open and close the guard to ensure no binding occurs. With the guard closed, move the saw arm through a

full stroke to also ensure no guard binding occurs.

Use of Miter Saw Worklight System

Miter Saw Worklight System.

NOTE: The miter saw must be connected to a power source.

The Miter Saw Worklight System is equipped with an ON/OFF switch (C). The Miter Saw Worklight System is independent of the miter saw’s trigger switch.

MAINTENANCE

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, turn tool off and disconnect tool from power source before making any adjustments or removing/installing attachments or accessories.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, DO NOT touch the sharp points on the blade with fingers or hands while performing any maintenance.

For the best worklight performance, perform the following maintenance regularly.

Carefully clean sawdust and debris from worklight lens with a cotton swab.

DO NOT use solvents of any kind, they may damage the lens.

Dust build-up can block the worklight and prevent it from accurately indicating the line of cut.

Follow miters saw’s instruction manual to remove and install blade.

With blade removed from saw, clean pitch and build-up from blade. Pitch and debris can interfere with the worklight and prevent it from accurately indicating the line of cut.
