Quick Reference Guide Teledat Router 530/730
Introduction
The Teledat Router is a router for cable-linked local networks (Teledat Router 530) providing access to the Internet via DSL. Teledat 730-only: For cable-linked networks as well as wireless ones via WLAN. With the aid of a print server a printer can be shared by all computers (model 530 and 730); refer also to page 68 of the manu­al). Please pay careful attention to the safety notices, system requirements, installation procedure and the warranty conditions as described in detail in the manual of the Teledat Router.

supplied. With the exception of their lengths both cables are identical. This means that they can be swapped over if the location of the equipment requires it. Make sure that the computer has been switched off. In order to connect up the Teledat Router to the splitter, plug in one of the sup­plied Ethernet cables into the socket labelled T-DSL at the back of the equipment. Plug the other end into the splitter.
Connect up the second Ethernet cable to one of the four LAN sockets at the back of the router. Connect up the other end of the cable to the LAN socket of your computer. Connect up the Teledat Router to the mains using the plug-in power supply unit provided.

Configuring (Example: T-DSL)
Switch on your computer. The equipment will be configured using an Internet browser of your choice via the web configura­tor integrated in the router. The Windows® Internet Explorer® will be used in the example shown here.
1. Start your Internet browser.
2. Enter the IP address 192.168.1.1 into the address line. If
there should already be an address in the address line you must delete it first.
3. When you start up for the first time the default password
will be 1234. A new password will only be present if it has been entered via the menu options Konfigurator - System- einstellung - Passwort Einstellung. Enter the password and click the Login button now.
4. The Welcome dialogue of the web configurator will then
appear.
5. If you click Assistent in this window, the dialogue enabling
you to enter the user's data will open.

6. Cli
ck the mouse in the Benutzername (user name) box and
enter the following data without spaces (example: T-Online):
Anschlusskennung (Calling line identification) (1) (in bold type in the example below)

7. Enter the password (Kennwort) of your service provider (3).
8. Enter the password again to verify.
9. Enter the IP address if one was specified by your service
provider.
10.Leave the subnetwork mask empty.
11.Only enter data in the DNS field if required to do so by
your service provider.
12.Click the Weiter button.
13.In order that you may check the information you have gi-
ven, a window with all your specifications will now be dis­played. If any of the data is incorrect, click the Back button of your browser.
14.14. If the information is correct, click the Weiter button. The status window will then be displayed. Beside ADSL is Ver- bunden (Connected) to be seen. Enter www.telekom.de into the address line of your browser. The Start page of the German Telekom will then be opened. Your Internet access has been successfully configured.
