Congratulations! You have purchased a precision health monitoring product that should provide you
with years of accurate use. To assure you obtain the best performance please read the following setup and use instructions carefully before using the scale.
Important:
General Operation
1. Battery Installation – Use one 3V Lithium battery (CR2032 included).
2. Open the battery compartment cover on the backside of the scale. (Figure 1)
3. Gently pull out the plastic tab to activate the battery.
4. Replace the battery compartment cover.
1. The maximum capacity of this scale is 330 lbs / 150 kgs / 23 ST 5lbs. Should “O-Ld” appear
on the display during a weighing, this indicates that the maximum weighing capacity of the
scale has been exceeded. Remove the weight immediately; otherwise, permanent damage
may occur.
1. Select the weight unit you want amount lb/kg/st. (Figure 2)
Button is located on the back of the scale. Press the button
to switch between lb/kg/st.
2. Place the scale on a flat, hard surface. Carpeted or uneven
floors may affect accuracy. (figure 3)
3. Step on the scale (disregarding the reading) and step off.
This process ensures that the scale is set and ready to use.
Do this whenever the scale is moved. At all other times step
straight onto the scale.
4. Step on the scale platform and remain still. The display will
count up to your weight. The display will flash twice when
the weight is locked. Your weight is now displayed.

1. Check that the batteries are correctly installed.
2. Check that you have selected your preference of lb/kg/st.
3. Check whether the scale is on a flat, level floor and not touching against a wall.
4. Do not step on scale until “0.0 lb” appears.
5. If, when you step on the scale to activate it, there
is no display at all or “Lo ” is displayed -
Try new batteries (figure 4)
6. If “Err ” is displayed, the scale has been
overloaded. (figure 5)

Replace Batteries
1. The glass platform will be slippery when it is wet. Keep dry.
2. Keep standing still during the course of weighing.
3. Treat the scale with care as it is a precise instrument.
4. Clean the scale with a damp cloth and avoid water getting inside the scale. DO NOT use chemical/abrasive cleaning agents.
5. Keep the scale in cool place with dry air.
6. If scale fails to turn on, check whether battery is installed properly, or battery power is low. Insert or replace new batteries.
7. If there is error on display or the scale will not turn off for a long period of time, please take out the battery for about
3 seconds, then install it again to correct error. If you cannot resolve the problem, please contact Detecto Customer
Service for consultation 800.336.5282.
8. Do not use for commercial purposes.
2. Err = Instability Error. Ensure the scale is on a flat, stable surface. Step off and back onto the
scale, standing still while your weight computes.
3. This scale is designed to read weights between 330 lbs / 150 kgs / and 23 ST 5lbs.
To prevent damage, do not place more than 330lbs / 150 kgs / 23 ST 5lbs on it.
4. The scale will turn off automatically if no loading in 10 seconds.
5. Scale will go back to zero 5 seconds after you step off of the scale. Once it is at zero, you
can weigh yourself again.

Your DETECTO product is warranted to the original consumer only, for the lifetime of the product, to be free
from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. This product is designed for personal use only.
DETECTO, used under license by Lifespan Brands LLC, has the right to nullify the Warranty Agreement should the
product be used in a commercial environment. This warranty is void if the product has been tampered with,
misused, abused or modified. Our obligation under this Warranty is limited solely to the charge of repairing the
product, including the cost of parts, or, at our option, replacing the product with an equivalent model. There are
no express or implied warranties except as listed above. DETECTO, USED UNDER LICENSE BY LIFESPAN
BRANDS LLC, IS NOT LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR FAILURE OR
MALFUNCTION OF THE PRODUCT AND ANY RECOVERY MAY NOT BE GREATER THAN THE PURCHASE
PRICE PAID FOR THIS PRODUCT. EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANY IMPLIED
WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ON THIS PRODUCT IS LIMITED
TO A PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEAR FROM THE PURCHASE DATE. Some states do not allow limitations on how long
an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above
limitations may not apply to you. This Warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights
which vary from state to state.
To obtain warranty service, you must return the product freight pre-paid, in either its original packaging
or packaging affording an equal degree of protection, to DETECTO, used under license by
Lifespan Brands LLC, at 1200 Thorndale Avenue, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007.
