HANGER BAR PREPARATION
The hanger bars are designed for joists that are spaced 16” (40,6 cm) to 26” (66,0 cm) (center to center) apart. If
the joists are less than 16” (40,6 cm) apart, the hanger bars must be shortened to accommodate the narrower
space. To shortenthem:
1. Measure out required length to mount the fixture plate in the plaster frame. Take note of the creases on the
hanger bars that willneed to broken off to achieve desired length (Fig.6).
2. Slide the hanger bars toward the center until they reach the appropriate length that will allow the breaking of
any additional material. Bend the additional material of the bar back and forth at the marked creases until it
breaks off. Repeat for other side (if necessary).
3. Slide the “male” and “female” bars together and determine if the hanger bar has been shortened enough.
If not, push the “male” and “female” bars together and break off additional material at the next crease and
notch. Continue to break off material until proper length is achieved. Do not break off any more material
than necessary.
4. To secure the hanger bars to the frame use pliers to bend the guides inwardsagainstthe hanger bars.

GENERAL
All electrical connections must be in accordance with local, and national electrical codes.
1. Raise the plaster frame and hanger bar assembly to the desired location between the two ceiling joists.
Adjust the width of both hanger bars to the distance between the joists. Position the assembly so that the
mounting clips of the hangerbars cup underneath the bottom edges of the joists. Hammerdown the nails
of the hangerbars into the joists to secure the assembly into place. (Fig. 8 )

2. Slide the plaster frame along the hanger bars to the desired position.

NEW CONSTRUCTION INSTALLATION
MOUNTING LARGER LIGHT FIXTURES
The mounting plate can be adjusted to accommodate larger fixtures, ranging from 3”, 4” and 6”. For 3” fixtures,
no rings need to be removed. For 4” fixtures, remove the smaller ring in the center. For 6” fixtures, remove
both inner rings. To mount larger fixtures:
1. Punch out appropriateknockoutholesfrom the center of the mounting plate usingpliers (Fig.7).
2. Mount fixture (not included)onto mountingplate and secure accordingly.
NOTE: If the light fixture includes a remote junction box please place into provided slots and secure with a
screw.

1. Alza ensamblaje del marco de yeso y barra para colgar hasta la posición deseada entre las dos vigas del
techo. Ajusta el ancho de las dos barras para colgar según la distancia entre las vigas. Coloca el
ensamblaje de modo que las abrazaderas de montaje de las barras para colgar queden debajo de los
bordes inferiores de las vigas. Martilla los clavos de las barras para colgar en las vigas para fijar el
ensamblaje en su sitio. (Fig. 8)
CONSTRUCCIÓN NUEVA LA INSTALACIÓN
PREPARACIÓNDE LA BARRA PARA COLGAR
Las barras para colgar están diseñadas para montarse entre vigas con 16” (40,6 cm) a 26” (66,0 cm) de
separación (de centro a centro). Si las vigas están a menos de 16” (40,6 cm) de distancia, las barras para colgar
se deben acortar para ajustarseal espacio angosto. Para acortarlas:
1. Mida la longitudnecesariapara montar la placa de fijaciónen el marco de yeso. Tome nota de los pliegues en
las barras de suspensiónque deberánrompersepara lograr la longitud deseada (Fig.6).
2. Deslice las barras de suspensión hacia el centro hasta que alcancen la longitud adecuada que permitirá
romper cualquier material adicional. Doble el material adicional de la barra hacia adelante y hacia atrás en los
pliegues marcados hasta que se rompa. Repitapara el otro lado (si es necesario).
3. Desliza las barras "macho" y hembra hasta juntarlas y verifica si la barra de colgar está lo
suficientemente corta. Si no, separa las barras "macho" y "hembra" y desprende cualquier material de
sobra en el pliegue y muesca siguientes. Desprende material hasta alcanzar el largo apropiado. No
desprendasmás de lo necesario.
4. Para asegurar las barras de suspensión al marco, use unos alicates para doblar las guías hacia
adentro contra las barras de suspensión.
INSTALACIÓN EN VIGAS DEL TECHO
2. Desliza el marco de yeso a lo largo de las barras para colgar hasta la posición deseada.

MONTAJE DE LUCES MÁS GRANDES
La placa de montaje se puede ajustar para adaptarse a accesorios más grandes, que van desde 3 ”, 4” y 6 ”.
Para accesorios de 4 ”, retire el anillo más pequeño en el centro. Para accesorios de 6 ”, retire ambos
anillos internos. Para montar accesorios más grandes:
1. Perfore los orificios ciegos adecuadosdesde el centro de la placa de montaje con unos alicates (Fig.7).
2. Monte el accesorio(no incluido) en la placade montaje y asegúreloen consecuencia.
NOTA: Si la lámpara incluye una caja de conexiones remota, colóquela en las ranuras provistas y asegúrela
con un tornillo.
ADVERTENCIA: Quitar los agujeros ciegos
puede dejar bordes afilados. Proceda con
precaución.
