Features
Front Panel
1. IR Transmitter: Hold this up to a receiver to pair.
2. Battery Compartment: Install 2 AA batteries
inside by pulling both sides of the compartment
(with the arrows pointing to you) to open. Make
sure the polarities of the batteries (+ and –) are
installed correct.

1. Microphone Input: When using the
included lavalier or headset
microphones, input the connector
into the input and screw in the
connector clockwise to secure the
cable.

Note: Other cables with TS, TRS, or TRRS connectors can be used,
though they may not be able to lock in place.
2. Gain Selector: Use this switch to set the gain of the audio input to Mic
level, 0 dB, or -10 dB.
3. Power: Adjust this switch to turn the transmitter ON (transmitter and
audio are on), STANBY (transmitter is in standby mode, powered on but
audio is muted), or OFF. The LED above the power switch will illuminate
when the power is on.
4. Antenna: This is used to transmit the audio signal to a receiver.

1. Belt Clip: Attach the transmitter bodypack to your
clothing beltline or hip area.

Operation
Wireless Mic Setup
To use a wireless mic, follow these setup steps:
1. Ensure 2 new AA alkaline batteries are installed in the Envoi HL
Transmitter.
2. Pair the mic to a receiver. Both the Denon Professional Envoi and the
Marantz Professional Voice Rover can be used as a receiver.
a. Turn on the Envoi HL Transmitter and the receiver.
b. Select the UHF channel on the receiver that you want to use with
the best reception.
c. Place the IR sensor (found above the battery compartment) near
the receiver’s IR LED and press the ASC button once on the
receiver. Wait for about 3 seconds until the IR LED stops flashing.
When it finds an interference-free channel the RF LED will
illuminate on the receiver showing the mic is matched to that
channel.
3. To connect the mic to Envoi HL Transmitter, insert the connector into the
input and screw in the connector clockwise to lock it. To unplug, reverse
this process.
• If using a headset mic, position the mic about 3”
(76 mm) from your mouth, but away from the wind path to avoid
breath and “pop” sounds.
• If using a lavalier mic, clip this on your shirt at chest-height, up to
6” (152 mm) away from your mouth.
4. Adjust the volume on the UHF receiver. If you are using the Denon
Professional Envoi or Marantz Professional Voice Rover, turn the Power-
Vol knob clockwise on the UHF receiver panel.
5. As you speak, watch the AF indicator on the receiver to make sure a
signal is being received. The Gain Selector on the Envoi HL Transmitter
can be adjusted for more or less output signal.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter a problem, try doing these things first:
• Make sure all cables and other devices are properly and securely
connected.
• Make sure you are using the Envoi HL Transmitter as described in this
User Guide.
• If you believe Envoi HL Transmitter is not working properly, check the
following table for your problem and solution.

Make sure all cable and device

mouth to ensure the best audio signal.
Make sure the volume settings on your
receiver, loudspeaker, mixer, etc. are
correct.
Make sure there are no objects
(computers, walls, pipes, etc.) between
the transmitter and receiver.
Keep any connected audio cables away
from the antenna and power cable.
Select another channel using ASC (AutoSync Channel) on your receiver.
