Using Your System
Arming
Your anti-theft system is programmed to arm itself automatically (called
passive arming). Your anti-theft system will automatically arm 30-sec-
onds after the ignition is turned off.
If you prefer to arm your system with the transmitter, you may press the
button on your transmitter after the IGNITION is turned OFF.
Your system will arm and prevent your vehicle from starting.
Disarming
To disarm your anti-theft system, press the button on your trans-
mitter. Your vehicle should now start.
Note: If more than 30-seconds elapses after pressing the button on your transmitter, your system will automatically arm again. You will have to disarm your system again to start your vehicle.
Valet®Mode
You can prevent the system from automatically arming by using Valet
®
mode. This mode is useful when having the vehicle washed or serviced.
In Valet®mode, the system will not passively arm allowing the vehicle
to start.
