PLEASE READ THIS INSTRUCTION BOOKLET CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS DEVICE.
WARNINGS
• Do not use this device without first viewing the instructional video. Failure to use this product strictly in accordance with the instructions and the instructional video could result in injury to your skin.
• Do not operate this device without the plastic safety cap securely in place.
• Using the device in one place for too long may cause skin irritation and abrasions.
• Never use the device above the cheekbone or below the eyebrow.
• Avoid areas with broken capillaries, rosacea, scabbing or open sores, tender acne lesions, or sensitive areas of the skin.
• Not recommended for severe acne.
• Do not use any other type of mechanical exfoliation or chemical exfoliation (harsh acids, peels, etc.) for at least 4 days after using the Defy Microderm Treatment.
• Do not use products containing retinol or Retin-A for at least 4 days after using the device.
• Do not allow water to get inside the vacuum hole.
Defy Microderm Treatment Device Instructions
STEP 1: ASSEMBLY
There are four discs available. Use the white disc the first 2-3 times you use the device and move up as you become more comfortable using it. Those with sensitive skin should not use the black or red intensity levels.

Important: There are two disc sizes—the larger for the body (i.e. elbows, hands, décolleté, etc.) and the smaller for the face. The large disc should not be used on the face.

1. Push disc tightly onto the metal tip at the end of the device. (To remove a disc, just pull off.)
2. Place the properly-sized cap over the disc. Screw until tight. The seal must be tight to ensure proper suction from the vacuum.
3. Plug cord into the device and twist ¼ turn to secure. Plug the cord into a power outlet.
Remember not to operate this device without the plastic safety cap securely in place. The top of the disc should be just barely below the top of the cap so that the vacuum can suck the skin to the disc.
STEP 2: PREPARATION
1. Cleanse and dry the desired treatment area, removing all dirt, makeup, and oil. Skin must be dry, not wet or damp, when using the device.
2. Make sure hair is pulled back and all facial accessories are removed.
STEP 3: TREATMENT
1. Using the fingers of your free hand, stretch the skin to create a smooth surface where the tip will make contact.
2. Turn the device on. Ensure that the cap is flush with the skin as you make contact. The motor sound will change when suction occurs.
3. Move the disc in upward and horizontal motions until you have treated all of the desired area.
4. Keep the tip moving constantly over skin surface—do not hover in one spot.
