Addendum to Instruction Manual v. 5
The PosiTest AT 50 mm x 50 mm Tile Kit is designed to measure tensile strength of ceramic tile cementitious, dispersion and reaction resin adhesives in accordance with BS EN 12004-2.
Steps to Perform a Pull-Off Test
1 - Ceramic Tile Installation
Apply ceramic tiles to the concrete test substrate according to BS EN 12004-2
2 - Glue & Dolly Application
a) Ensure the 50 mm x 50 mm steel dolly plate and
ceramic tile surface is clean.
b) Attach the dolly plate to the
ceramic tile using epoxy adhesive. Allow the adhesive to cure per the manufacturer’s instructions.
c) Screw the dolly post fully onto
the dolly plate

3 - Pull-off Test
a) Ensure the 50 mm x 50 mm tile kit stand-off is
attached to the instrument.
b) Conduct pull-off test in accordance with PosiTest
AT instruction manual.

NOTE:
If unable to connect the dolly to the instrument’s quick coupling, the post height can be adjusted by unscrewing the dolly post from the plate.
NOTE:
Ensure the instrument is setup for the
50 mm x 50 mm dolly size.
Dolly Size & Conversion PosiTest AT-M models with a serial number greater
than 14278: Select the 50.50 dolly setting
PosiTest AT-A models with a color touch display: Select the 50mm x 50mm dolly setting. If this setting is not present, perform a gage update.  See defelsko.com/update/
Conversion: Older model PosiTest AT-M and PosiTest AT-A instruments require a simple manual
conversion:
Select the standard 50 mm round dolly setting to perform the test. Upon completion of the pull-off, multiply the test result by 0.7854.
4 - Analysis of Test Results
Examine and report test results according to BS EN 12004-2.
