AOE RAID STORAGE
AoE RAID STORAGE
ATA over Ethernet (AoE) provides a highly-secure transfer of video files to a separate storage device for backup and long-term archiving. As the system is point-to-point, utilising MAC-MAC address ethernet connections, it is highly efficient, allowing data to be transferred at high speeds with minimal use of the systems processing power.
UNLIMITED STORAGE
The AoE RAID utilises 3.5” SATA disks. There are no constraints to how big an AoE storage network can be or how many Video Servers can be attached to the storage network. Each time a new RAID device is added to the storage network, more processing power is added and therefore aggregate throughput and performance of the storage system is increased, providing an unlimted storage solution.
SPECIFICATIONS
3.5” Disk Type
RAID class SATA disk drives
IMPORTANT NOTE: Only use Enterprise grade hard drives (specifically designed for RAID use).
Control Interface
RS-232, KVM or EtherConsole, command line interface.
Network Interface
Two GigE, RJ45
RAID Types Supported
RAID 0, 1, 5, 6 & 10
Storage Security (optional)
MAC address filtering, only authorised MAC addresses can access specified volumes.
Power Supply
100-240 VAC, 50/60Hz Redundant hot swap power modules.
Cooling
3 hot swap fans
Power Consumption
< 620 Watts, heat load < 2100 BTU with disk drives.
DATA SECURITY
MAC address filtering allows AoE RAID units to control access to data. With MAC address filtering, only devices (such as a Video Server) with authorised MAC addresses can access data from the AoE RAID unit.
DIRECT CONFIGURATION
AoE RAID devices can be configured directly from NetVu Connected Video Servers, allowing the addition of drives and allocation of storage space to be done through a single interface.
SUPPORTED DEVICES
AoE RAID devices are compatible with a range of NetVu Connected cameras and Video Servers including the CamVu Range of IP Cameras and Mini-domes, SD Advanced, SD Excel and DV-IP NV1, NV4 & NV8 Video Servers.
