Introduction
The remote alarm module allows additional alarms to be connected to Dedicated Micros DVR’s and DV-IP products.
The additional alarm outputs are congured within the system menus. This allows integration of building management systems into a single solution, ensuring the site is continuously monitored and recorded (if enabled).
Compatible DM Products
The DM/485ALO16 alarm module can be included in installations that have one or more of the following DM products:
DV-IP Server (Gen3)
DV-IP Express
DV-IP RT
DV-IP HD
SD
SD Advanced
Note: Software version 4.3(26.31) or later is required
Note: This product is not compatible with the DS2, DV-IP (Gen2), BX2 or Multiplex units.
Note: DV-IP Gen3 and SD products use RJ12 connections. Previous products use MML
connectors (identiable by the offset retaining clip).

Setting the 485 Bus Address
The 485 bus relay module must be assigned an address on the 485 bus network to ensure each device on the network can communicate with it.
This address can be anywhere within an allocated range (160 - 175). Links are added to J1 and J2 to set the address, as detailed in the table below.
