WARNING
Make sure that the loudspeaker is securely installed in a stable position to avoid any injuries or damages to
persons or properties. For safety reasons di not place one loudspeaker on top of another without proper fastening
systems. Before hanging the loudspeaker check all the components for damages, deformations, missing or
damaged parts that may compromise safety during installation. If you use the loudspeakers outdoor avoid spots
exposed to bad weather conditions.

BENVENUTI!
Grazie per aver acquistato un prodotto progettato e sviluppato in Italia da dBTechnologies! Questo speaker attivo,
versatile ed ergonomico, è frutto di una lunga esperienza nel campo della diffusione sonora, con l’impiego di
soluzioni ottimizzate in campo acustico ed elettronico, oltre che nella scelta dei materiali.
PANORAMICA INTRODUTTIVA
Il nuovo diffusore professionale VIO X-205 è equipaggiato con un compression driver da 1” (bobina: 1.4”) mentre
la sezione LF è afdata a 2 woofer da 5” (voice coil: 1”). Le caratteristiche principali sono:
• un progetto ergonomico, compatto e versatile, con utilizzo verticale e orizzontale, votato
principalmente alle applicazioni installation, under-balcony e front-ll
• possibilità di utilizzo live con montaggio su palo
• 2 versioni differenziate per copertura acustica: 60°x60°, 100°x100 ° [HxV]
• cabinet in legno con nitura in poliurea, per coniugare le più alte prestazioni acustiche alla robustezza
• amplicatore digitale afdabile e silenzioso
• connessioni audio di ingresso ed uscita bilanciate IN/LINK
• preset selezionabili con diverse equalizzazioni per vari tipi di utilizzo, grazie al DPS con ltri FIR
• scheda RDNet onboard, per il controllo remoto professionale tramite le interfacce Control2, Control 8 e
la perfetta integrazione sul software AURORA NET

DIMENSIONI
VIO X-205 è stata progettata con particolare attenzione all’ottimizzazione dell’ingombro e alla
maneggevolezza. Il peso è di soli 7,8 kg.
Le misure principali sono: 150x485x240 [LxHxP]
MECCANICA
Dal punto di vista meccanico, ogni lato dello
speaker è dotato di una predisposizione per
le staffe (opzionali). Queste predisposizioni
consentono una regolazione dell’inclinazione in
posizione orizzontale, ed un ssaggio rapido in
verticale. Vedere anche la sezione ACCESSORI.
COPERTURA ACUSTICA
Per ottimizzare l’utilizzo anche in ambienti riverberanti, esistono 2 versioni di VIO-X205: 100°x100° di copertura
acustica e 60°x60°.

CARATTERISTICHE DELLA SEZIONE DI AMPLIFICAZIONE E DI CONTROLLO
L’amplicatore DIGIPRO G3 fornisce 400 W RMS. Il sistema è
silenzioso, non necessitando di un raffreddamento ventilato. Il
controllo del sistema è afdato a un potente DSP dedicato che
gestisce diversi parametri.
ATTENZIONE!
• Proteggere il modulo dall’umidità.
• Non tentare in nessun modo di aprire l’amplicatore.
• In caso di malfunzionamento, interrompere
immediatamente l’alimentazione, scollegando il modulo
dalla rete, e contattare un riparatore autorizzato.
Il pannello del DIGIPRO G3 è caratterizzato da:
• Sezione di Input, Output e Controllo
• Sezione di Alimentazione

ATTENZIONE!
• Non rimuovere mai la griglia frontale di protezione del prodotto.
Per prevenire il pericolo di scossa elettrica, in caso di danneggiamento accidentale o sostituzione
della griglia di protezione (da effettuarsi presso il servizio assistenza) , disconnettere
immediatamente l’alimentazione.
Non connettere mai l’alimentazione di rete mentre la griglia è rimossa.

SEZIONE DI INPUT, OUTPUT, RDNET E CONTROLLO
1. INGRESSO E RILANCIO AUDIO (“Balanced audio”)
Ingresso e uscita compatibili con cavi XLR bilanciati.
In particolare, “Input” è utilizzato per il collegamento del
segnale audio proveniente dal mixer o da un altro diffusore,
“Output Link” per il rilancio del segnale ad altri diffusori.

2. “ATTENUATION”
Permette di regolare la sensibilità di ingresso, range [0 dB /
-12 dB] consentendo anche di silenziare lo speaker [mute].
3. INGRESSO E RILANCIO DELLA CONNESSIONE DI RETE RDNet
Sezione compatibile con cavi di rete dotati di connettori di tipo
etherCON/RJ45.
In particolare “Data in” deve essere collegato a dispositivi
come RDNet Control 2 o Control 8, “Data Out” viene utilizzato
per il rilancio della rete ad ulteriori diffusori in congurazione
daisy-chain.
4. “DSP Preset” - ROTARY
I preset che possono essere direttamente selezionati sono i seguenti: Fullrange, HPF (80, 85, 90, 100, 110) e wedge.
Si noti che queste sono selezioni immediate che possono essere impostate localmente sul pannello di controllo.
In controllo remoto con AURORA NET (connessione RDNET) è possibile congurare i dettagli in modo anche più
approfondito, ed in questo caso le impostazioni locali saranno by-passate dal software.
5. LED DI STATO
Led relativi al funzionamento dello speaker. Vedi tabella esplicativa nella pagina seguente.
6. LED DI CONTROLLO RDNet
Led relativi al funzionamento in rete (RDNet) del modulo.
In particolare, “Link” acceso segnala che la rete RDNet è attiva e ha riconosciuto il dispositivo, “Active” in modalità
lampeggiante che esiste trafco dati, “Remote Preset Active” che tutti i controlli locali sul pannello amplicatore
sono by-passati dal controllo remoto RDNet.
7. USB DATA SERVICE
Porta di tipo USB B, da utilizzare esclusivamente per l’aggiornamento del rmware del prodotto. Vedi la sezione
“AGGIORNAMENTO DEL FIRMWARE” per ulteriori informazioni.

8. CONNETTORE DI ALIMENTAZIONE “MAINS INPUT”
Compatibile con connettore powerCON TRUE1,
l’alimentazione è dotata di funzione autorange. Riconosce
automaticamente la tensione all’interno dell’intervallo
[100-120V~] oppure [220-240V~].
9. RILANCIO DI ALIMENTAZIONE “MAINS LINK”
Compatibile con connettore tipo powerCON TRUE1 per il
rilancio dell’alimentazione ad altri speaker.

possono connettere in un sistema rilanciato, consultare la
sezione SPECIFICHE TECNICHE.

XLR come mostrato in gura.
• Connettere ed eventualmente rilanciare l’alimentazione degli speaker, utilizzando i connettori
powerCON TRUE1 come illustrato.

3. CONNESSIONE RDNET E CONTROLLO REMOTO
RDNET CONTROL 2/8PC/MAC
• Tutti i parametri dello speaker possono essere regolati attraverso il
controllo remoto, una volta effettuate correttamente le connessioni RDNet, attraverso l’utilizzo del
software gratuito AURORA NET (in versione Beta alla data di uscita di questo manuale). Quando
il controllo è remoto, i controlli locali presenti sullo speaker sono by-passati. Grazie all’utilizzo di
questo software, inoltre è possibile controllare un numero maggiore di parametri (per ulteriori
informazioni si rimanda al manuale completo di AURORA NET).

4. ACCESSORI PRINCIPALI ED ESEMPI DI UTILIZZO
• Non sono ammessi tipi di installazione diversi da quelli qui illustrati.
• L’installazione deve essere effettuata da parte di personale esperto.
• In caso di installazione a muro, i mezzi di ssaggio, a cura dell’installatore devono essere
adeguati alla parete, per garantire stabilità e sicurezza
• Vericare sempre che il posizionamento sia stabile, e che l’installazione non costituisca fonte di
pericolo per persone, animali o cose.
• Effettuare l’installazione su palo avvenga su di una supercie di appoggio piana e priva di
inclinazione, in caso contrario è obbligatorio un ssaggio addizionale di sicurezza.
Per il posizionamento verticale, WB-VIOX205V consente una regolazione precisa dell’angolo di inclinazione, sia
nel ssaggio appeso a muro, che appeso (ad esempio utilizzando un golfare o un TV-SPIGOT, non inclusi) come su
quello a piantana (grazie all’adattatore per palo di diametro 35 mm). Consultare le istruzioni relative per ulteriori
dettagli.

Per il posizionamento orizzontale, WB-VIOX205H consente una regolazione precisa dell’angolo di inclinazione nel

Inne, l’accessorio SA-VIOX205 consente di utilizzare direttamente lo speaker su piantana (angolazione 0°/10°).

5. PRIMA RISOLUZIONE DEI PROBLEMI
Il diffusore non si accende:
1. Vericare la corretta presenza dell’alimentazione a monte dell’impianto.
2. Vericare che il cavo di alimentazione sia correttamente inserito.
Il diffusore si accende ma non emette nessun suono:
1. Vericare che iL collegamenti in ingresso del segnale audio sia correttamente effettuato.
2. Vericare che i cavi utilizzati non siano danneggiati.
3. Vericare che il mixer o la sorgente audio sia accesa e mostri chiaramente la presenza di segnale in
uscita.
4. Vericare che il livello dell’ingresso sia adeguato.

WELCOME!
Thanks for purchasing a product designed and developed in Italy by dBTechnologies! This ergonomic and versatile
active speaker is the result of a long experience in the sound reinforcement industry, making use of optimized
sound, electronic and material research solutions.
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The new VIO X-205 professional loudspeaker is equipped with a 1" compression driver (coil: 1.4”) while the LF
section is entrusted to 2 5” woofers (voice coil: 1”). Its main features include:
• an ergonomic, compact and versatile design, for vertical and horizontal use, suitable mainly for
installation, under-balcony and front-ll applications
• possibility of live use with pole mount
• 2 differentiated versions for sound coverage: 60°x60°, 100°x100° [HxV]
• wooden cabinet with polyurea nish, to combine the highest acoustic performance to sturdiness
• reliable, silent digital amplier
• balanced In/LINK input and output audio connections
• presets selectable with different equalisations for different types of use, thanks to the DSP with FIR lters
• RDNet onboard board for the professional remote control through the interfaces Control2, Control 8
and the perfect integration on the AURORA NET software

MECHANICAL AND ACOUSTICAL FEATURES
DIMENSIONS
VIO X-205 has been designed with the intent to optimise handling and dimensions. It weighs only 7.8 kg.
Its main dimensions are: 150x485x240 [LxHxD]
MECHANICAL SYSTEM
From a mechanical standpoint, each side of the
speaker is equipped with a presetting for the
brackets (option). These presettings allow tilt
adjustment in horizontal position and a quick
fastening in vertical position. See also the MAIN
ACCESSORIES AND EXAMPLES OF USE
section.
SOUND COVERAGE
To optimise the use also in reverberating environments, there are 2 versions of VIO-X205: 100°x100° of sound
coverage and 60°x60°.

The DIGIPRO G3 amplier provides 400 W RMS. The system
is silent and does not require a fan cooling. The system is
controlled by a dedicated powerful DSP that manages the
different parameters.
ATTENTION!
• Protect the unit from moisture.
• Never attempt to disassemble the amplier in any way.
• In the event of a malfunction, remove power supply
immediately by disconnecting the unit from the power
mains and contact an authorised repair centre.

To prevent the danger of electric shock, in case of accidental damage or replacement of the

INPUT, OUTPUT, RDNET AND CONTROL SECTION
1. INPUT AND OUTPUT LINK (“Balanced audio”)
Input and output compatible with balanced XLR cables.
In particular, "Input" is used to connect the audio signal
coming from the mixer or from another loudspeaker,
"Output Link" is used to link the signal to other
loudspeakers. Daisy-chain conguration.
2. “ATTENUATION”
It allows adjusting the input sensitivity, range [0 dB / -12 dB],
allowing also to mute the speaker [mute].
3. INPUT AND NETWORK CONNECTION LINK RDNet
Section compatible with network cables with etherCON/RJ45
connectors.
In particular, "Data in" must be connected to devices such
as RDNet Control 2 or Control 8; "Data Out" is used to
link the network to additional loudspeakers in daisy-chain
conguration.
4. “DSP Preset” - ROTARY
The presets that can be directly selected are the following:
Fullrange, HPF (85, 90, 95, 100, 110, 120).
Please note that these are immediate selections that can be set locally on the control panel. In remote control,
with AURORA NET (RDNET connection) it is possible to congure the details, even in a more in-depth manner. In
this case the local settings will be bypassed by the software.
5. STATUS LEDs
LEDs relating to speaker operation. See explanatory table in the following page.
6. RDNet CONTROL LEDs
LEDs relating to module network operation (RDNet).
In particular, if "Link" is on the RDNet network is active and has acknowledged the device, if "Active" is ashing
there is data trafc, if "Remote Preset Active" is on all local control on the amplier panel are by-passed by the
RDNet remote control.
7. SERVICE DATA USB PORT
It is a USB B port to be used only for product rmware update. For further information refer to "FIRMWARE
UPDATE".

8. “MAINS INPUT” POWER CONNECTOR
Compatible with powerCON TRUE1 connector, the power
supply features an auto-range function. It automatically
recognises the voltage within the range [100-120V~] or
[220-240V~].
9. “MAINS LINK” POWER DAISY CHAIN
Compatible with powerCON TRUE1 connector for power
daisy chain to other speakers.

• All speaker parameters can be adjusted with the remote control, once the RDNet connections have
been properly made, using the free AURORA NET software (in Beta version at the date of release of
this manual). When using the remote control, the local controls on the speaker are by-passed. Using
this software, you can control a larger number of parameters (for more information, please refer to
the full AURORA NET manual).

4. MAIN ACCESSORIES AND EXAMPLES OF USE
• Types of installation other than those here described are not allowed.
• The installation must be carried out by expert personnel.
• In the case of wall installation, the fastening means, provided by the installer, must be suitable
for the wall to ensure stability and safety
• Always check that the positioning is stable and that the installation does not pose a danger to
people, animals or property.
• Perform the pole installation on a at, not tilted surface, otherwise an additional safety fastening
is mandatory.

5. FIRST TROUBLESHOOTING
The loudspeaker will not turn on:
1. Check that power supply is present upstream of the installation.
2. Ensure that the power supply cable is properly plugged in.
The speaker turns on but produces no sound:
1. Check that the input connection of the audio signal is correctly performed.
2. Check the cables for damage.
3. Ensure that the mixer or audio source is on and an output signal is present.
4. Check that the input level is appropriate.
The speaker turns on but produces no sound:
1. Re-check the project, the installation and conguration specications using DBTECHNOLOGIES
COMPOSER.
2. Verify that the DSP PRESET parameters are actually replicated on the control panel of the module
(especially if the remote control of the modules is not used).
3. Check that, in case of RDNet network connection and control with AURORA NET, all the parameters,
especially the equalization ones, are properly set.
