1. Product description/Application

The Z5017 TV spigot HD (according to the German standard
DIN 15560-24) can be used to vertically suspend d&b loudspeaker
cabinets from a single suspension point in conjunction with:

− Z5090 Single bar C4/C7/MAX/F2/B1

− Arrays of MAX loudspeaker cabinets using the Z5043 MAX

Horizontal bracket together with the Z5044 MAX Bracket connector.

− Arrays of Ci-Series cabinets in conjunction with the Z5054 Flying

adapter Ci60/Ci90.

2. Load safety information

The maximum permitted load of the TV spigot HD is 170 kg/375 lb
according to the German standard BGV C1. When used with the Z5090
Single bar, the maximum load is 162 kg/370 lb. TV spigot assemblies
must only ever be used with the spigot pointing vertically downwards so
that the force of the load also acts downwards.

3. Scope of supply

The Z5017 TV spigot HD is supplied with a fixing bolt and Rue ring cotter
(securing pin) together with this mounting instructions.

4. Assembly

Installation and set up should only be carried out by qualified and
trained personnel.

It is the responsibility of the person installing the assembly to ensure that
the suspension/fixing points are suitable for the intended use.

All system components must be inspected for faults before use. Please
pay attention to section 5. Maintenance and care on page 4. Damaged
components must be withdrawn from use immediately.

4.2. Assembly with Z5090 Single bar

1. Unlock and remove the ring cotter [1a] of the fixing bolt and remove
the fixing bolt [1b].

2. Attach the TV spigot to the Single Bar or to the respective hole of the
flying adapter.

3. Insert the fixing bolt [1b] and secure the bolt with the ring cotter [1a].

4. Recheck your work and ensure the ring cotter is properly fitted to the
fixing bolt (Fig. 3).

Safety precaution !

It is essential to bypass the TV spigot using a safety wire
(secondary safety).

If the Ring cotter either breaks or is bent out of shape, the fixing bolt
may slide out of the spigot and release the suspended load.

5. Maintenance and care

5.1. Cleaning

Regularly clean and lubricate the TV spigot with WD-40

®

or a similar

product.

5.2. Regular inspections

Test recommendations

− Visual inspection of the TV spigot [1] for obvious damage (e.g.

deformation, cracks or corrosion).

− Visual inspection of the fixing bolt [1b] for obvious damage (e.g.

deformation, notching, cracks or corrosion).

− Visual inspection of the Rue ring cotter [1a] for obvious damage and

deformation. Also carry out a functional test of the locking
mechanism. If the ring cotter can no more be properly fitted to the
fixing bolt and locked it must be exchanged - (Fig. 5).

6. Disposal/Environmental protection

The device must be disposed in accordance to the national
environmental regulations.
