1. To insure efficient and safe operation of the sprayer unit on the tractor,
the front wheels of the tractor should be spread the maximum amount and front
wheel weights should be used.
2. Attach the two long angle iron side rails to the rear of the tractor frame
with the four 5/8” screws provided. These should be installed such that the leg
of the angle iron pointing away from the tractor is upward.
3. Assemble the two short angle iron pieces to the rear of the long angles already attached to the tractor. The one angle which contains five holes should
be installed on the power take-off side with the leg of the angle, which is
pointing away from the tractor, to the rear of the side of the tractor. The other
short angle should be installed in the same manner on the opposite side. Those
should be fastened with the 3/8” screws provided and should not be completely
tightened until after the remaining assembly is made.
4. Mount the carrier assembly to the drawbar of the tractor and secure with the
2 1/2” screws. Insert the two threaded brace rods through the 1/4” pipe located
on the inside of the front pipe brace and through the one hole in the short vertical angle piece. Tighten the 5/16” rods evenly until the carrier assembly is
well placed and supported.
5. Mount the pump assembly to the mounting plate on the top of carrier assembly.
Keep the crank shaft of the pump toward the front of the tractor. Fasten secure-
Ly with the four 1/2” rods.
6. Place the pulley on the shaft of pump, with a long straight edge align the
pump pulley with the pulley on the engine of the tractor, then tighten the set
screw of the pump pulley.
7. Assemble the idler pulley assembly to the vertical angle brace on the power
take-off side of the unit. Assemble remaining parts as instructed in items 6,
7 and 8 of the Model # 597.53750 instructions. After this has been done, fasten
the belt clip securely to the angle brace on the power take-off side such that
the wire clip is over the belt near the power take-off pulley. The function of
this clip is to insure complete disengagement of the pump from the take-off
pulley.
8. All other instructions for operation and maintenance of pump and sprayer are
contained in the Model # 597.53750 instructions.
