The LND-SENS92
Sensor Analysis Module
An Electronic Circuit Breaker Using the LND-SENS92
What is the LND-SENS92?
The LND-SENS92 is a comparator channel for doing analysis of sensors
which source or sink a current. The device is used as a programmable trip
point channel. The device includes two dividers. One of these dividers is
potentially the low reference to one end of a variable resistor. High/Low input
determines whether one end of a variable resistor contained within “nalog
switch is connected directly to pin 1 or to the center of the divider connected
to pin 1. The Analog Switch also includes a 7 bit silicon resistor. When Pin
3 is connected to a current sink or source, the voltage at pin 3 will be pulled
high or lower than the selected reference. By adjusting the resistor, a set
point can be determined which will cause the comparator to switch.
Applications of this device include programmable circuit breakers (using an
external MOSFET), protection devices, sensor trip points for security or
equipment monitors, door opening devices, motor shutoffs.
How do I get samples?
The LND-SENS92 comes in a 16 pin SSOP package. Samples are only
available in ceramic form. Contact your regional Linear Dimensions sales
representative for more information.
