By designing the bit to wrap around the heating element,
ANTEX have ensured maximum heat transfer into the bit, and
minimum heat loss to ambient. Such is the efficiency that tests
have proven that an ANTEX 25 watt iron has equivalent
soldering power to many other manufacturers' 40 watt irons.
The ANTEX MLXS is a 25 watt 12 volt soldering iron equipped with a 4.5 metre twin cable furnished with giant
"croc-clips" for use on vehicle batteries. Ideal for emergency use in the car, boat or caravan, the package is also
a must for outdoor hobbyists such as model aircraft or boat enthusiasts where urgent repairs may be needed
and mains power is not available.
The ANTEX SK2, SK5 and SK6 kits offer a high quality soldering iron, ST6
bench stand, length of solder and the "Introduction to Soldering" booklet all
in one package. The three kits differ only by the soldering iron contained
therein.
Soldering irons in these kits are available with options of UK or Europlug, or
silicone rubber cable. The TCK- 50 kit comprises the essential tools for the
serious hobbyist or service/repair shop. The adjustable 50 watt temperature
controlled TCS iron can be set precisely to match the job in hand,
recognising that various components may require protection against
overheating. The ST6 bench stand accommodates the iron when not in use.
For solder removal from
p.c.b.'s a "mini" desolder pump is included and a 2 metre length of
60/40 22 s.w.g. solder wire.
Soldering irons in this kit are available with options of UK or
