If a Dataram memory board does not function properly we will issue a Return Material Authorization number (RMA#) for the return of the defective module(s) and express ship a repair or replacement to you at no charge.

FOR SUN FIRE X2250 SERVERS

SYSTEM AND MEMORY OVERVIEW

Note: Refer to your system owner’s manual for detailed instructions and be
sure to follow all static and safety precautions.
The Sun Fire X2250 contains eight DIMM slots and supports up to 64GB of Dataram memory.
The X2250 supports Fully Buffered memory (FB-DIMMs) that are DDR2­667 or DDR2-800. DIMMs must be installed in matched pairs (same capacity, type and speed).
Dataram offers the following memory options, providing up to 64GB of memory for the X2250. Some types and capacities may not be available from Sun.

Note: Refer to your system owner’s manual for detailed instructions.
Blue DIMM slots are always populated first. DIMMs with the highest capacity are always populated before smaller module sizes.
Caution: System parts are sensitive to electrostatic discharge and can be
damaged by the static charge you may carry. You should wear a
rounded wrist strap.
DIMM pairs must be populated in the following DIMM slot order: A0 & B0, C0 & D0, A1 & B1, C1 & D1.
Please note that at the time of this writing, Sun’s Integrated Lights Out Manager (ILOM) and Pc-Check utility were not able to correctly identify quad­rank (4R) DIMMs. However, the system BIOS and Operating Systems do recognize and utilize this type of memory correctly. Please refer to the package insert for further details or contact Dataram Customer Support if you need assistance.
