Mounting the Bracket
Mounting to a Wall and/or Vertical Surface
If the settlement room bracket will be mounted on a vertical surface or on a wall, use the following information:
1. Locate the mounting holes on the bracket (Figure 2).
Note: The settlement room bracket is designed to be mounted to wall studs at 16 inch intervals. At least one side should be located over a wall stud if mounting to a wall.
Warning: Use caution when drilling the mounting holes and when mounting the settlement room bracket onto a wall.
2. Use the settlement room bracket as template to mark the four (4) mounting holes on the mounting surface. For information on mounting, see the General Guidelines in the previous section.
3. Using a 1/8” drill bit, drill the appropriate mounting holes at the marked locations.
4. Thread the screws through the washe r s, settlement room bracket and the mounting holes as follows:
Drywall Surface: Use #8 - #10 toggle bolts (not included). When you are mounting to a drywall surface, you must use a larger size drill bit depending on the size of the toggle bolts. Wood Surface: Use #10 x 1½” wood screws (included). #10 x 1½” wood screws cannot be used on any other type of surface, except wood.
5. Verify the settlement room bracket is level.
6. Tighten securely.

Use the following photos as a guide when connecting the power supply:
6. Loop the AC adapter's cable through the cable clips (Figure 7).
7. Route the AC adapter's connector through the routing hole on the top of the settlement room bracket so that the ferrite bead exits the hole (Figure 8).
Attaching the Printer to the Bracket (Optional)
1. On the bracket, locate the (3) printer mounting holes (Figure 11). The 3 printer mounting holes are smaller in diameter than the standard mounting holes used to attach the bracket to a horizontal or vertical surface.
1. Attach the double-sided foam tape to the bracket and peel off the adhesive cover from the adhesive tape (Figure 3).
2. Firmly place the AC adapter onto the adhesive so that the printing on the AC adapter faces down and the AC adapter's connector is closest to the routing hole on the top left of the bracket (Figures 4 and 8).
3. Remove the twist ties from the AC adapter's cable and the Grounded AC power cord's cable.
4. Plug the Grounded AC power cord's connector into the AC adapter's socket (located on the AC adapter). Verify the three prongs of the Grounded AC adapter's power cord match the AC adapter's socket (Figure 5).
5. Loop the Grounded AC power cord's cable through the cable clips twice (Figure 6).
.
8. Place the printer onto the settlement room bracket (Figure 9).
9. Plug the Grounded AC adapter plug into a outlet.
10.Plug the AC adapter's connector into the printer's power port (Figure 10).
11.Proceed to Attaching the Printer to the Bracket (if applicable).
2. Place the printer on the bracket (Figure 12) and open the printer's lid.
3. If a paper roll is in the paper cavity, remov the paper roll.
4. On the printer's case, in the paper cavity, there are two mounting recesses (Figure 13). Starting with the mounting recess on the right, use a screwdriver to carefully thread the #4 x ½” sheet metal screws through the #4 washers and the printer's case. The sheet metal screws will selfstart and go through the printer's case into the
bracket
.
Warning: The sheet metal screws protrude from the back of the bracket.
5. Tighten securely.
