1x8 Video Splitter and 4x16 RJ45 Phone Module
Step 1 Video
Attach a female F-connector onto the cable TV service or satellite service
incoming cable.
Screw the incoming cablewith F-connector to the connector marked
“input”.
Using F-connectors, terminate all coaxial leads that have been pulled
through the top knockout of the enclosure to the 1 x 8video splitter.
Align the four mounting pins with holes in the back of the panel (upper
most position recommended) and snap into place.
Step 2 Telephone
Pull the telephone wires into the HCC panel from top or one of the side
knockouts.
Using the black push pins, install the 70-0026 RJ45 telephone module in
the HCC panel. Install the cable from the telephone company
demarcation point to the 110 IDC marked from Telco. This will activate
line 1, line 2, line 3 and line 4 on the RJ45 ports.
The wires should be punched down, using an industry standard punch-
down tool, to the 110 IDC connectors following the T568A wiring
configuration as shown below.
Line 1 is Blue, Line 2 is Orange, Line 3 is Green and Line 4 is Brown.
A RJ31X port is provided for line 1 seizure by security system.

Step 3 Telephone
Install RJ45 plugs (purchased separately – DCE part #20-5703) on all Cat
5e wiring home runs to the HCC panel.
Be sure to wire the RJ45 plugs per the RJ45 plug instructions. Mis-wired
RJ45 plugs will create a short or no dial tone.
Once all RJ45 plugs are installed on the home runs, determine which
telephone jacks in the house will be line 1. To connect line 1, insert the
RJ45 plug on the Cat 5e home run into RJ45 ports labeled line 1 on the
telephone module. Each of these home runs will now be connected to
line 1.
To connect line 2, use same instruction as line 1 and use line 2 labeled
RJ45 ports.
To connect line 3, use same instruction as line 1 and use line 3 labeled
RJ45 port.
To connect line 4, use same instruction as line 1 and use line 4 labeled
RJ45 port.

Never install telephone wiring during lighting storms.
Never install telephone jacks in wet locations unless the jack is
specifically designed for wet locations.
Never touch un-insulated wires or terminals unless the telephone
line has been disconnected at the network interface.
Use caution when installing or modifying telephone lines.
