The Danze 1/2” thermostatic mixing valve extension kit is designed to provide up to 1 1/4” of
additional wall depth adjustment.

A) If the distance from the back of mounting plate to the finished wall surface is between 3 11/16”~4

3/16”, you need to use the extension kit A.

B) If the distance from the back of mounting plate to the finished wall surface is between 4 3/16”~4

9/16” , you need to use the extension kit B.

1. Remove the existing stem extension by

removing the Phillips screw. Extract volume
control cartridge from valve: grasp shank
with wrench and carefully pull volume
control cartridge straight out of socket.

2. Install the new volume control valve cartridge (1), long shank (2), long stem (3) and screw (4) in

the pictured order below.

3. Install long sleeve (5), Long thermostatic cartridge stem (6). Reinstall existing screw (7).
