The Danze 1/2” shower diverter valve extension kit is designed to provide up to 1 1/4” of
additional wall depth adjustment.

A) If the distance from the back of mounting plate to the finished wall surface is between 3 11/16~4

3/16", you need to use the extension kit A.

B) If the distance from the back of mounting plate to the finished wall surface is between 4 3/16~4

9/16", you need to use the extension kit B.

1. Remove the bonnet nut from the diverter cartridge by using an

adjustable wrench. Extract cartridge out of the socket of valve
body.

2. Install the new diverter cartridge, being sure to locate 2 pins on

the bottom of the cartridge into the 2 locating holes in the valve
body, see diagram to right.

3. Install bonnet nut (1), long shank (2), long cartridge stem (3) and

screw (4) in the pictured order below.
