Instantaneous water heater for large apartment houses or large properties

Application
The WL is an instantaneous water heater
featuring high performance and simple
operation. The WL is especially suitable
for large apartment houses comprising
between 29-130 apartments or a large
property/sporting association comprising bathing facilities for 10-20 persons.
Construction
The WL water heater is prefabricated
with a brazed, insulated Danfoss plate
heat exchanger for domestic hot water
production, thermostat/thermostats or
Danfoss ECL 110 electronic controller
for domestic hot water control, shut-o
valves, thermometers, balancing valve,
safety and non-return valves as well as
A-labelled low-energy pump. Alternatively the water heater can be supplied
with a Danfoss ECL 310 controller as
replacement for the ECL 110 controller.
It is recommended to installa a dierential pressure controller in fron of the
water heater, if the dierential pressure
from the district heating plant exceeds
0.8bar, to avoid cyclic variations.
Design
The WL substation is designed for wallmounting and it is made in a compact
design for quick and simple installation
and it can be delivered with a white-lacquered steel sheet cover with door.
Domestic hot water (DHW)
The domestic hot water is prepared in
a high-performance heat exchanger
based on the ow principle. Supreme
ease of operation is obtained via thermostatic control of the domestic hot
water through two self-acting thermostatic valves connected in parallel.
Alternatively the water heater can be
supplied with Danfoss ECL 110 electronic control tted in the water heater
from factory for DHW temperature
control.
Domestic hot water circulation
The WL is supplied with connection for
DHW circulation as a standard, and is
supplied with an A-labelled circulation
pump, non-return valve and balancing valve. Pump, balancing valve and
non-return valve are tted as standard
on the circulation pipe so that the
pump ow direction is towards the
water heater. The WL is applicable
only on systems with DHW circulation
and if the household installation does
not feature domestic hot water recirculation, internal recirculation must
be established in the technical control
room, ensuring a constant ow on the
secondary side. Hot water installations
with DHW circulation ensures tapping
of hot water without any delay, – ensuring the best possible eciency and
economy.
Service and maintenance
Proper piping and connections made
by nuts and gaskets makes the water
heater very service-friendly and easy
to install. It is mounted on the wall and
as all connections are placed in pipe
bracket distance from the wall, it is
possible to establish a nice piping.
