Application
Ordering and data
By means of a lockshield valve, type RLV-S,
every radiator can be shut o individually
to allow trouble-free maintenance or repair
without aecting other radiators in the
system.
RLV-S is intended for mounting on the outlet of the radiator.
RLV-S lockshield valves are available in angle
Accessory for RLV-S:
- Brass handwheel: a tool which replaces
the thermostat when radiators with RLV-S
lockshield valves are removed.
In order to avoid deposition and corrosion
the composition of the hot water must be
in accordance with the VDI 2035 guideline
(Verein Deutscher Ingenieure).

RLV-S can be preset to limit the max. water
ow within the following setting area:
- RLV-S 10: kvs = 1.5 m3/h
- RLV-S 15: kvs = 2.2 m3/h
Factory setting is fully open valve.
Dimensions correspond to DIN 3842-1.

Setting and regulation
Setting of max. water ow:
- Close the valve by means of an Allen key
DN 10 = 6 mm; DN 15 = 8 mm.
- Regulate the water ow by opening the
valve. The capacity diagrammes on the
opposite page show the water ow at ¼.
RLV-S
- 4 turns and for fully open valve (kvs).
