Szara rura wielowarstwowa FH firmy Danfoss nie przepuszcza powietrza, ma wysoką wytrzymałość temperaturową i bardzo łatwo daje się wyginać. Składa się ona z rury aluminiowej pokrytej wewnątrz i na zewnątrz warstwami polietylenu. Wszystkie te warstwy są trwale ze sobą spojone klejem.
Zgodnie z normą EN ISO 22391 zastosowano nieusieciowany polietylen o podwyższonej odporności termicznej (PE-RT). Oktenowe łańcuchy boczne budowy cząsteczki polietylenu PE-RT (Polietylen o Podwyższonej Odporności Cieplnej) dają efekt podobny do Polietylenu usieciowanego.
W rurach kompozytowych FH firmy Danfoss warstwa aluminiowa jest tak wkomponowana, że
po wygięciu rury zapobiega ona przed jej powrotem do poprzedniego kształtu. Umożliwia to łatwe i szybkie układanie rur podczas instalowania systemu ogrzewania podłogowego.
