ICAD Actuators
Mechanical installation of ICAD on ICM
Included in the ICAD box:
New EPDM O-ring New PTFE ring Molycote 55 grease

This Installation guide cover installation of ICAD
•on complete new ICM top part (function module)
•on ICM top part already in operation
1. Remove existing O-ring and PTFE ring* on the ICM adapter with your fingers.
Do not use any tool because it may damage the O-ring/PTFE ring
2. Install the new PTFE ring*
3. Apply Molycote 55 grease in groove below o-ring

4. Apply Molycote 55 grease on the EPDM O-ring
5. Install the new EPDM O-ring in groove
6. Observe that Molycote 55 grease is distributed, in the groove,
all around the ICM adapter
7. Apply a very thin film of Molycote 55 around and on the ICAD magnets
ICM bonnet
8. Turn all 3 set screws about 3 turns clockwise
and then counterclockwise back to its original
position

*If the ICM top part is new there is no need to replace PTFE ring

For ICM in operation
When ICAD is in
Make sure the old grease is totally removed before mounting a new EPDM
O-ring and PTFE support ring.
If there is any ice or moisture present, it must be removed prior to applying
the grease.The ice/moisture can be removed with an electrical hot air gun.
stalled/serviced, on a cold/frozen valve; do the following:
After ice removal by heater, ensure that the ICM adapter is totally dry before
mounting new EPDM O-ring and PTFE support ring
Install the ICAD actuator on the ICM adapter making sure it is pushed
completely down. Fasten the the 3 set screws using a 2.5 mm hexagon key.
Note!
Crosstighthen all 3 screws to ensure equal tightening.
Max 3 Nm torque.
